A pair of Arts and Crafts hammered sterling silver bar pins or brooches by the Art Silver Shop of Chicago. Each has a central fresh water dog tooth pearl.

They may be purchased separately or as a pair.

The longer one measures about 2 1/2" long and 1/4" wide. The shorter one measures 2" long and 1/4" wide.

Both brooches are marked on the back with Hand Made, Art Silver Shop, conjoined TASS hallmark, and Sterling.

Signed Hand Wrought, Sterling and WW (signed twice) for the maker's mark.

Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

Warm patina, fine condition with minor surface scratches.

A pair of vintage sterling silver hand wrought floral brooches by Stavre Gregor Panis, who was a member of the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts. The round one may be a poppy. The smaller one may be a gladiola.

May purchase them individually or as a pair.

The larger round brooch measures 1 1/2" across. The smaller brooch measures 1 1/2" long and 7/8" at the widest.

Both brooches are marked with the SGP in a shield hallmark and Sterling. The smaller one also has a stylized 'G'...

A lightly hammered pewter brooch with a central rose colored round Ruskin pottery jewel. Marked Hand Wrought Plantagenet, REGSIN, Pending on the back. Plantagenet hand wrought jewelry was retailed through Liberty & Co. of London in the early 1900s.

Measures 1 3/8" in diameter. Has a 'C' clasp that holds securely. There is a small piece of wire wrapped around the hinge.

Pretty color, fine example.

A pair of vintage circa 1955 sterling silver and enamel brooches by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr). One is a dark grey poodle dog, #5686 and the other is a multicolored rooster, #5793. These brooches may be purchased individually or as a pair.

The poodle measures 2 1/4" high and 1 1/8" at the widest. Marked Made in Mexico Sterling, Margot de Taxco and 5686. Also marked with Eagle #16.

The first one is a sterling silver modernist pendant with a bezel set green - brown swirled stone cabochon.

Measures 1 3/8" across and 1 5/8" high including the round bale. Due to the large bale it could be worn on a chain or neck ring. The central section swings for an interesting effect.

An antique pin with a modern vibe. This charming Arts & Crafts is made of sterling silver that has been enameled in artfully shaded blue to chartreuse to look like the wings of a stylized moth. A mother-of-pearl oval centers the body, and there is a small faceted green 'stone' (possibly glass) at the head. The pin is 1 ½ by 3/4 inches in size, not including the small spherical dropper which is enameled in a rich blue. The pin is circa 1900.

A sassy dragon curled around a large amethyst-colored brilliant (yes, it’s glass) hides the hook that turns this into a watch pin. He has a dark red cabochon eye (probably also glass) and a colorless brilliant in his mouth. The pin is unmarked and is 1” by ¾” in size. The metal is vermeil (gold over silver). A round hinge and eared clasp suggest an age of late 1800s or early 1900s, but the exact age is unknown.

Hand made in the early 1930's this large 2 1/4" X 2 1/4" Spratling design weighs 47 grams. The buckle will fit up to a 1 1/4" wide strap. The high 980 grade silver provides an exceptional silky texture to the design. The hallmarks on the back are WS TAXCO 980 Mexico. Lovely vintage sterling triangle link necklace number 319 designed by Bent Gabrielsen in the 60's for the Hans Hansen company. It measures 15" long and the links are 1" by 1/2". The clasp is an invisible hook, so the necklace looks continuous when on the neck. It is in fine original condition and weighs 74 grams. Signed as shown. This will become your go to necklace. A Mid Century Modern bracelet in sterling silver by Kultaseppa Salovaara, Ky of Turku Finland with four bullet shaped bezel set stones. Deep purple in color, probably amethyst. The bracelet is concave for an interesting effect.

A vintage hand made sterling silver brooch with a swan motif by Carl Poul Petersen, the Canadian silversmith who signed his work with the stylized CPP.

He was born in Denmark, married Georg Jensen's daughter and apprenticed with him before moving to Montreal. He eventually opened his own workshop.

A late Medieval signet ring of silver engraved with strong cross cultural references of the pelican in her piety and navigation symbols of the moon and stars. During the medieval period many were illiterate and pictorial signet rings served the practical purpose of bearing a mark that when impressed upon clay would authenticate documents. Sized for a man (yet resizable by a jeweler to fit a woman as well) this vintage Mexican silver and carved amethyst "mask" ring attracted me with its unusual brutalist setting.
