Exquisite Victorian sticking fashioned from 12K yellow gold, the head in the shape of a horseshoe prong-set with a double row of graduated rose-cut diamonds and cabochon rubies. One of the rubies is an old mine-cut and another is a rectangular cushion-cut. In both cases, the stones appear to be original, as the setting fits them perfectly. Magnificent KJL! It is gold plated metal, it is chunky, and it is very dramatic. This elegant necklace has the look of ancient times and was, perhaps, designed by Kenneth Lane in honor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian show in the 1970's. It fits like a choker and has the effect of a large bib. 14 1/2" inside length, front link is 3 3/4" top to bottom. It is thick and chunky.
