I love zodiac jewelry and thankfully so did the old Mexican maestros! Yet over the years I have noticed that no matter what their form (rings, brooches or bracelets), they are being snatched up with increasing fervor. So saying that they are becoming more difficult to find would not be an understatement, especially for rings which are an already challenging area of collecting in the vintage Mexican jewelry world...

This continuous chain is beautifully made, composed of tiny rectangles that are attached in perpendicular links. It has a substantial feel and has a seamless, snake-like movement. It works with a pendant or as a classic look by itself, doubled or tripled. Doubled, the chain measures 29 ¼ inches long. It is unmarked, and has a soft patina like old silver; it is probably silver plated, and dates from the 1960s or 1970s.

The clasp on this sterling silver bracelet is fashioned as a buckle, with a hinged bar that closes over the end of the ‘belt’ to secure it. The bracelet is constructed as three hinged pieces, with bands of chain work applied to the outside. It is marked 925 Mexico on the inside of the securing bar. The bracelet measures 1 inch wide at the buckle; the band measures 1/2 inch wide. The bracelet, when closed, measures 2 1/2 inches across the opening and has an internal circumference of 7 inches...

This beautiful ring is adjustable in size. It is sterling silver with 4 turquoise cabochons, displaying a classic Mexican design of the 1970s. It is marked MEXICO and is in excellent condition.

Whimsical kinetic sterling silver ring by Erik Granit. Finland, 1950s. Marked with several hallmarks, along with "57, 925 STERLING FINLAND, ER GRANIT CO DESIGN JEWELERS" excellent condition. Size 6.25 (measures 5/8" across the inside).

This double-hinged bangle, a mid-century design by Sigfredo Pineda, features a central oval amethyst cabochon, framed in sterling silver and highly polished. It is surrounded by two sets of slender sterling silver bands enclosing it like fingers. The bracelets band is in three sections, with a soft patina from age, and the two hinge pins are very secure. The push-down clasp is in good working order, and there is a long, delicate safety chain attached by soldered rings...

This handmade runway neck piece has a center of long, narrow red marquis rhinestones, flat back, rose color, faceted rectangular stones & hand carved rose color drops. These stones are surrounded by many fuchsia & clear rhinestone accents. Everything is attached by hand to a deep rose silk satin panel that ties in a bow in the back. Spectacular! #38 Vintage Giorgio Armani Prive Wide Cuff Vintage Armani Couture wide bronze tone mesh cuff awash with giant, fiery ruby color stones. The cuff is 1 3/4" (5 cm) wide with a 2 1/2" (6.6 cm) interior diameter and a hair over 1" (3 cm) opening. The stones are all present and brilliant. From around 1980, the cuff is in excellent vintage condition.

This vintage size 6 ring 3 color gold ring features leaves and berries in green gold facing the same in pink gold on the 1" x 1/2" top. The band is yellow gold. A puzzling piece - though it is signed “Birks”, the hallmark does not look like the Canadian company’s commonly encountered marks - this vintage sterling vermeil pin is a small work of art. Slender and elegant, the flower it represents consists of a textured silver stem while its leaves and bloom are made of molded jadeite glass.
