A long sterling silver modernist pendant by Tane, Mexico with the 26" original chain. Tane was known as 'The Tiffany of Mexico.'

This pendant measures 4" long and 2 1/4" at the widest. Marked TANE, Sterling, Mexico and with an 'A' inside a triangle, probably for the silversmith.

The chain has Tane's unusual interlocking clasp which holds securely.

The pendant has some surface scratches, tarnish and shows some wear. Weighs 50gr.

This sterling silver bracelet is decorated with Francisco Rebajes’ signature leaves. Each leaf serves as a link to the alternating square panels. The brushed surface shows some tarnish, but hardly any signs of wear. The tongue-and-groove clasp is very secure, with the Rebajes and silver marks impressed on the top. This striking design was created by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda in the 1950's. 20 brilliant tigers eye stones are set into 970 sterling frames. Silver rods tipped with beautifully matched pearls & 2 with silver are interspersed. The central element measures 3 3/4" across & 2 3/4" long at the center. The silver tipped velvet cord measures 29" long. Weighing 70 grams the necklace is in exquisite condition.

Twin fish necklace in amethyst and brass signed MAYA MEXICO after a design first introduced by Hubert Harmon (c.1940-50). This necklace will comfortably fit up to a 15 inch neck. The two fish and amethyst drop measure 5 1/2 inches across. Both fish have an amethyst eye and a faceted amethyst stone extending from their tail. A single amethyst cab hangs between the 2 fish. Each brass chain measures 5 1/2 inches.

Six silver panels frame embossed, hand-painted porcelain panels, in a style very popular during the 1950s and early 1960s. This geometric openwork pin depicting snakelike creatures is distinguished by its design, which draws from ancient Mexican imagery. The pin is sturdily made and has a secure C-clasp. It is unsigned but stamped on the back Taxco 980, which indicates a higher-than-sterling silver content. It likely dates from the 1940s-50s. The fire that this Elsa Schiaparelli bracelet and earrings sends out has to be seen to be believed. Large Gripoix poured glass, lava stones (sometimes called gum drop stones) are surrounded by 12 brilliant aurora borealis rounds. These earrings are small but have a strong design that evokes arts and crafts style. They feature applied silver leaves and beading on domes with an oxidized, darkened surface. There is a central copper bead mounted in a silver bezel. The earrings are marked 925 on the backs with sturdy posts; they may have been converted from screw backs at one time. This ring is a size 11. It is sterling silver with an onyx "center." It has interesting decor on each side (of the band). It is marked STER with a maker's mark of which I am not familiar (maybe an R with a dot in the middle). I believe it is American made: c. 1950's. It is solid with good heft and is in excellent condition.
