Lovely vintage sterling silver brooch set with a cluster of eight Mikimoto-quality pearls. The pearls range from 6.0 to 7.5mm. They have very white body color with silvery overtones. An attractive 1950s 18K yellow gold brooch prong-set with round brilliant-cut chrysoprase. An ornate piece of cast work featuring flowers, scrolls, garlands and scallop shells. The pin is set with a central faceted rectangular citrine, tiny pieces of orange glass and seed pearls. The C-clasp is secure; the pin stem is struck with a special Hungarian mark used from 1937-1999 indicating a piece that may have left the country temporarily, as for an exhibition. The brooch measures 1 ½ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide.

A cast rectangular top decorated with what look like applied and incised stylized scrollwork; the surface is textured and is unevenly oxidized. The sides exhibit clamp-like elements and the band shoulders bear engraved geometric designs.
