This brooch was made by W. A. P. Watson in Solihul, England using the trade name of Exquisite (Hallmarked) from about the late 1940s to the 1970s. This chrysanthemum brooch is 2 5/8" x 2" ( 5.5CM x 4.4CM). The brooches come in two sizes: 6-7cm x 4-5 cm)

The fire that this Elsa Schiaparelli bracelet and earrings sends out has to be seen to be believed. Large Gripoix poured glass, lava stones (sometimes called gum drop stones) are surrounded by 12 brilliant aurora borealis rounds. The bracelet is 7 5/8" (19.8 cm) long (not including the tongue) by 1 1/4" ( 3.5 cm). The ear clips a 1 1/4" (3.5cm) in diameter. The bracelet has a guard chain and a tight working clasp. Modernist tree branch design handmade 14k earrings with pearls and diamonds, c.1960. Each earring has a 9mm natural pearl and three 3-point diamonds. One of the earrings is marked "14K" and they are in excellent condition. Of good size and made of heavy gauge gold, they measures 1" by 7/8". A hand engraved Smibo sterling silver rectangular hinged bangle bracelet from the 1950s. It measures 2-1/8 x 2" across the interior and it is 1/2" wide. It has a safety chain, a box clasp and it is engraved on one half. Unusually it is of rectangular hollow construction unlike most and it is stamped SMIBO STERL.. It weighs 20.7 grams and it is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs however it has a small engraved BAH on the unengraved side...

A modernist brooch by noted mid century silversmith, Frances Holmes Boothby.

This brooch measures 1 5/8" tall and 1 1/4" across the bottom. Has a textured inlay of multicolored enamel. There is a sterling inlay in the center of the enamel for an interesting contrast. Marked with fhb and Sterling on the back. Has a safety rollover clasp that holds securely.

Has a few minor scratches, some tarnish and one nick to the side that touches both the edge and the side of the bezel...

A sterling silver, heavy key chain and fob by noted American Modernist Jeweler, Paul Voltaire. Features a heavy hammered disk attached to a thick curb chain with a hammered squeeze closure key ring at the other end. Measures 6 1/4" long. Marked Paul Voltaire Sterling. Inscribed Breezy, Xmas 1950 on the back of the disk. Very well made. Fine design.

Cast with a patinated and textured surface, in an abstract form. The pin/pendant is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling silver. The rollover clasp is secure and original to the piece. It measures 1 5/8 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 8.8 grams

Wonderfully designed cuff bracelet by Henry Steig, a well known Modernist jewelry designer working in New York City in the 1950s. In 1950 he opened a New York City shop at 51st and First, and a summer store in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In 1955 he moved his NYC shop to 52nd and Lexington. The design of this ridgid bracelet is ingenious, as the opening fits over the bulb of your wrist for comfort. Signed "Henry Steig, sterling". Excellent condition.

We have a superb Los Castillo 18in. long necklace to offer today. The links are 1 3/8ths tall making for a striking presence. The stones have no cracks or chips and also have no striations that come to the surface of the amethyst. The color is a beautiful mix of milky swirl and jelly purple. Properly hallmarked as shown with the old linear mark for Los Castillo when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. Definitely a collectors treasure.

Hand chased with design from the Mayan glyphs this Casa Prieto bracelet is stunning on. The weight is 84 grams heavy and is 1.25in. tall. The silver is thick and adding a modernist machine age look is the intentional super thick rings that attach the links. Condition is without damage of any kind and collector quality..

Beautiful repousse' work in this elegant design by William Spratling brings the piece to life. Weighing 23 grams and measuring 3" x 2" the brooch was designed as a dress or fur clip. Spratling designed this piece in a few different sizes. For comparison see the 4" x 3 1/2" example also listed on our site. All in beautiful condition with excellent patina. The larger size is included in the permanent collection of 20th century Mexican silver at LACMA.

This stunning bracelet by the famous Antonio Pineda showcases his remarkable design skill and quality craftmanship.
