A magnificent 18K gold, sapphire, emerald and ruby dome ring by David Webb. The textured gold is accented with rows of ropework bands punctuated with collet-set cabochon gemstones. A very rare pair of 14K yellow gold, diamond and lapis lazuli cufflinks designed by Erté in the "La Dentelle-State I" pattern. A very fine pair of double-sided cufflinks by Seaman Schepps. Each of the faces is made from a single blue sapphire that has been tumbled rather than faceted, and then set in a framework of curling gold wirework. It consists of sterling silver links (each 7/8" long) that meet to display a decorative bordered Eilat stone (the national stone of Israel: "The King Solomon Stone"). A lovely 18K yellow gold, diamond and ruby love pendant (“medaille d’amour”) with a rebus spelling out “Plus qu’hier, moins que demain” (“More than yesterday less than tomorrow”), a line from a love poem written by Rosemonde Gérard to her husband Edmond Rostand (author of “Cyrano de Bergerac”) in 1889. This brooch/pin is made and signed by renown, French, Jewish sculptor Jacques Lipchitz. It is his interpretation of an Olive Tree. Artist-designed, this golden brooch is one of a small series of gifts given to purchasers of Israeli bonds in the 1960's-1970's. It measures 2" x 2". The back is signed (incised) Lipchitz in script.
