Each garnet circle is surrounded by a row of tiny rose-cut garnets. Suspended from these elements are three droppers featuring more garnets, round and marquise in shape. A handsome late Victorian stick pin featuring a reverse-carved crystal depicting a bulldog. Essex crystals, especially those showing dogs and sporting subjects, were very popular during the last quarter of the 19th century.
