A modernist cast sterling silver brooch with a pearl by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). Signed with his stylized 'S' hallmark and Sterling.

Measures 2" across and 7/8" high. Has a three dimensional curved design. Has a pearl perched at the end of the bottom curved piece. Interesting contrast of dark textured patina on the sides and polished surfaces on the top.

A pair of 1" diameter and 5/16" wide sterling silver and 10k yellow gold hoop pierced earrings. They are stamped AAJ 10K on the ear wire and the pin mount is stamped STG. The central gold ring has a textured finish and they weigh 6.3 grams. These earrings are in mostly excellent condition with no corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small dent. Magnificent handmade sterling cuff with precise fine line chiseling by Navajo Sam Roanhorse (1916-1988). He was the brother of Ambrose Roanhorse, who he studied with, and also worked for the White Hogan Shop from 1951-52. His work is rare to find and highly collectible. This cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. Weighing 89 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. An exquisite piece of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

A vintage sterling silver orchid brooch by Hector Aguilar.

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Beautiful sterling silver bracelet signed by Los Castillo circa 1950's. Weight 90 grams, 3.01 oz. 2 repousse curved fern frond silver leafs connected by a tight spring hinge are used to form a bracelet 3 1/2" wide at the front tapering to 1 1/8" at the back. The inner circumference of the bracelet when closed measures 6 1/2" but expands to fit a larger wrist or arm. This design can probably be attributed to Margot de Taxco during the time that she was married to Antonio Castillo...

A fascinating pair of double-sided Continental silver cufflinks, each face featuring the image of Medusa. The faces are intended to suggest ancient coins, but the stylized lines are very much in the Cubist style. Though her appearance was capable of turning a man to stone, Medusa's image was often used to ward off evil spirits. The backs are stamped with French import marks.

Large Gusanos (caterpiller)Mexican solid gold earrings at 2inches by half an inch wide make for a grand presence. The weight is 7.3 grams of gold that tests from around 9kt to 12kt. These older filigree pieces are not signed and originate from Oaxaca. Absolutely lovely 2 rows of seed pearls are wired and tied off on the back and some solder over the ends finishes the durability of the piece. The seed pearls look more silver than the monitor shows them to be.

Classic Hector Aguilar Lyre necklace in 940 silver featured in all of the books on Mexican Silver. Measuring 16 1/4" end to end , it is 3/4" wide. Fine original condition and signed as shown. One of Aguilars' most recognizable pieces and always spectacular.

Antonio Pineda is one of the most celebrated Maestro's from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. This iconic bracelet was not just designed it was engineered with high sweeps that come to a peak and an amethyst that one pushes to open. Photos show a side view of the mechanism. The design bends and refracts light that catches the eyes of all who pass you by. There is no damage to the bracelet and closes with a crisp click. You will see glare in my pictures...

A 10X8 millimeter oval faceted sky blue topaz is set in a 14Kt yellow ring. The approximate weight of the topaz is 3.0 Ct. The ring is a size 8 ¾ and it can easily be sized.

A nice pair of sterling silver stirrup cufflinks, the ends set with black onyx sugarloaf cabochons. This style of cufflink was popularized by Cartier. The cufflinks bear Swiss import marks used until 1934 and are stamped "935", indicating that they have a slightly higher pure silver content than sterling silver.

Intricate Haskell-like design with twisted rope of seed pearls, four ornate floral overlays, roses montees and safety chain. Wired and prong set. 2 3/8" across inside, 3/4" wide, gold plated. Unsigned but is most likely early Haskell.

An elegant 23” necklace of alternating natural amber oval beads and ribbed melon-shaped 14K gold beads. The gold beads have a slightly matte finish that contrasts nicely with the resinous surfaces of the amber. The amber beads are beautifully matched for color and clarity. We are offering an Antonio Pineda bracelet with pearl and amethyst set inside the tulip shaped links. The amethyst used are a very translucent, fine quality cabachon and what you see inside the stone is being picked up around it in reflection. The length is 7in. wearable and it is one inch tall. This simple but sophisticated ring features a lovely, polished dyed blue chalcedony is securely prong set in a sterling silver mount. The setting displays openwork shoulders with light embossing. The inside of the band is marked sterling and shows an unidentified maker’s mark. The stone exhibits no scratches or other signs of wear. The stone measures stone 7/8 inch long by 5/8 inch wide. The ring is a size 5 ¼.
