A fine pair of modernist 18K yellow gold earclips by Burle Marx set with intricately carved amethysts in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of large gemstones, often fashioned by carving or tumbling rather than faceting, a technique he invented in 1948. The color of the amethyst is deep purple and is nicely even throughout the stones. The gold surfaces are decorated with the fine florentined engraving typical of Marx’s pieces...

Edwardian diamond pin with rubies and pearls. The pin has a floral motif and contains eighty seven diamonds. The diamonds range from old mine cut, Swiss cut and rose cut with a total weight of 3.00 carats. There are also twenty four Burmese rubies with a total weight of .62 carats. And, there are two freshwater pearls peg set on the pin. The pin is sterling silver with a gold overlay in sections. The diamonds are prong set, and the rubies are channel set...

Formed as a delicate spray of three flowers, this Coro sterling silver pin has an unusual design, unlike much of the company’s Sterling Craft line. The Sterling Craft pieces were hand-constructed, with an arts and crafts look; many had a Scandinavian influence, but this piece is quite naturalistic and more complex in construction. A 14k hill of emeralds statement ring from the 1960s. This size 3-1/4 ring is opulent and stylish and it features a central dome of 20 genuine claw-set 3 point emeralds (by gauge). Added to this is the openwork filigree style on the shoulders. The dome itself measures 9/16" across. This ring weighs 5.3 grams, it is stamped 14K and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This great 3-piece set (parure, suite) has a modernist design, with leaves swirling into buds. The brooch is also a pendant. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is marked TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING 925 Assay Mark 3 and V.A. (for the silversmith). The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1/2" x 1 1/4", marked TAXCO V.A., as well. This 3-piece set is in great condition and has a good heft.

An attractive Victorian style vintage hearts and flower pin in black satin glass c1920s. This 1-5/8" x 7/8" pin has a brass c-clasp, it is stamped CZECHOSLOVAKIA on the pin, and it has a black japanned finish to the back of the pin. A striking cuff bracelet by Winifred Mason Chenet, who was an African American woman hand crafting jewelry in Greenwich Village. She reportedly worked with and trained Art Smith, a well respected African American modernist jeweler. This bracelet is made of copper with brass overlays and connections of copper rivets and wire. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" wide. Signed with her stylized 'chenet'. Wonderfully hand made work.

This strand of colorful glass beads from Japan, consists of 25 beads. They have never been used. They are oval-shaped with gorgeous work, best described by the pictures. Each bead measures 3/4" long and graduates to approximately 3/8" high. They are circa 1940's and very scarce.

An attractive pair of mid-20th century cufflinks the faces designed as clusters of baroque freshwater pearls overlaid with gold bands centering rows of round brilliant cut diamonds. The pearls have lustrous surfaces, but their craggy shapes give them a more masculine appeal. The gold bands are enhanced with stippled engraving for added texture, and the small diamonds add a little sparkle without being overwhelming. The cufflinks are heavy and are very well constructed...
