This splendid Victorian brooch is an example of the Egyptian Revival style. It is silver gilt with a polychrome enamel winged pharaoh. The old style of the tube hinge and C clasp date it as prior to 1900. tube hing. It is marked 800 (for silver content) and has an indecipherable maker's mark. The pin is 1 1/4 " X 5/8". There is a small crack in the enamel of one feather. It is 19th century in age.

Signed by Graziella Laffi, the often referred-to as "Spratling of Peru" this bird brooch can also be found with blue enamel adorning its eye. Executed in all-silver in our case, with hand-etched and stippled details, I like to think of it as a pelican or even a seagull, maybe because she has used the same motif in necklace and bracelet form as well but combined with fish-shaped stations...

Circa 1940's, this is a spectacular necklace from Marcel Boucher. It's hand-wrought and extremely substantial, weighing in at 158.2 grams, or over 5 troy ounces.

Boucher was born in Paris, and apprenticed with Cartier. He has a reputation of being perhaps the greatest costume jewelry designer. In the 1940's, he produced silver jewelry in Mexico under the name Parisina. In 1957, he opened his business in New York.

An absolutely splendid vintage sterling, 14k and deep red coral cuff bracelet by Frank Patania Jr. It comes with its original box with the Frank Patania Thunderbird logo on it. Measuring 5 3/4" around in the inside plus an additional 1" opening, it is 1" wide and weighs 84 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed a shown. Art Nouveau Gold Tone Amber stick pin with an oval cabochon amber in the center. The top measures 1/2" in diameter and the pin length is 2 7/8", circa 1910. Good vintage condition, Pin with slight bend.

This beautiful bracelet is 7 1/8" long x 1/2" wide. It is made with turquoise and pearl stones, using fine wire: the signature look of some of Hobe pieces, strung together to a metal, chain-like frame. It is in goldtone and is in excellent condition. It is unsigned.

These teardrop-shaped earrings feature purple, grey, violet and black feathers enclosed between pieces of resin or a clear composite. A cut-out zigzag design reveals the feathers through the sterling silver frame. The earrings show some tarnish; they have not been aggressively cleaned to avoid damaging the inserts. The screwbacks are in good working order; one exhibits the eagle 3 mark for Mexican sterling, the other, an unidentified geometrical maker’s mark...

A delightful Georgian harlequin ring featuring a marquise cut citrine surrounded by a border of alternating green and red stones—emeralds, rubies and paste. The mixing of natural and paste stones was not uncommon for the period. The citrine is foiled to impart a reddish-orange body color from certain angles. The stones are set in a closed-back setting. An exquisite example of Italian Renaissance Revival jewelry that were so popular with tourists on their Grand Tour at the turn and first few decades of the 20th c. this long pendant necklace is the epitome of “figural”. Not only is its chain interspersed with links representing iconic Italian monuments and coats of arms, its large pendant is a work of art too. Graziella Laffi signed on both the necklace and bracelet. The enamel is in perfect condition as well as the silver. The length is 7 inches and the necklace has a wearable length of 16.5 inches. 1.25in. for the height for both the necklace and bracelet. When I see these there seems to be some that looks very much the same but there is always a change with a fish or bird in different places and size. For all Laffi collectors, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A nice quality pin with a graceful design, set with a dyed blue chalcedony. It is American, with a maker’s mark of conjoined JM for Joseph Masaniello, a New York jewelry artisan who worked during the 1940s and 1950s, and was a friend and contemporary of Carl Ruopoli. A fine example of a French-Flemish croix papillon (butterfly cross) from the northern region of France around Calais. Jewelry scholars believe these were actually made in Belgium (a French region at the time) where they were known as “croix à la Jeannette” (Jeanette crosses). A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50.
