A lovely Arts and Crafts period 830 silver high relief rose Skønvirke brooch circa 1900. This antique 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin has a long c-clasp and it is marked simply 830. It is quite likely this piece is Scandinavian, it is entirely consistent with early Skønvirke ("beautiful work") made popular by fine Scandinavian silver makers. It greatly resembles early Bernard Hertz work, but is not signed, other than the 830 silver mark...

This art nouveau garnet stickpin (scarf pin) is 2 1/2" long. The garnet is bezel set. The garnet in its setting is 3/4 long x 5/16" wide.

This garnet stickpin / scarf pin has been tested to be at least 14K. There appears to be a maker's mark, too. It is in excellent condition.

A handsome pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks worked in the Etruscan Revival style with applied bead rosettes. The spherical faces are attached by chains to baton backs, also decorated with applied bead rosettes. The gold surfaces have a slight matte finish. The cufflinks are hallmarked with the French “hibou” import mark.

We believe this lovely (unmarked but tested) 10kt gold jewel is from a time when cannetille work was the vogue because gold was scarce: very fine gold wires twisted into thin strands and then formed into rosettes and other shapes. The amethyst is a delicate shade of purple, and weighs approximately 2.5 carats – it’s very deep. (Amethysts are said to bring calm, and help banish headaches.) The whole lavalier, including the bale, measures 1-1/2 x 9/16”...

This is a gorgeous pendant from Finland is by Kupittaan Kulta Oy. It measures 2" x 5/8". It is marked 925S with the Kupittaan Kulta, anvil hallmark. It is in excellent condition.

The translucent enamel is an unusual and lovely blue in color. Plique a jour, that unusual, difficult, and beautiful technique, dates from the 15th century. A vintage sterling silver modernist pendant and necklace by Hans Sten and Karl Laine from Sten and Laine in Finland. Pendant reminds us of an abstract spiderweb. Pendant measures 3 1/8" long to the top of the bale and 2 1/8" at the widest. Chain is attached at the bale and closes with a spring clasp that holds tightly. Chain measures about 17" around. An early Danish Skonvirke 826 silver brooch signed BH and with a dragonfly for Bernard Hertz, Copenhagen 1893-1937. He was a silversmith who was well known for his early Skonvirke designs.

We love the patina of this antique delicate carved amethyst intaglio depicting a charming bird perched on solid ground, beak pointed upward mounted in a later, retro hammered 24K gold band. The ring is substantial at .38 inch high but not overwhelmingly large. At almost 14 grams and 24K (stamped), this ring is solid gold yet feels surprisingly light. This modern looking signet ring is easy to wear and marries beautifully with other rings. Not to be missed. The ring fits a size 9-9.5 finger.
