Two pair of vintage Mexican Sterling Silver screw back earrings by Sigi Pineda in modernist designs. May be purchased together or as two separate pairs.

One pair has a polished layer of sterling intertwined with an textured layer for an interesting contrast. Measure 1 1/4" long and 3/4" across. Marked Sigi Tasco, and Eagle #36. Today we are offering a signed Taxco 980 necklace constructed using the technique of repousse. This necklace is made with thick silver weighing 109 grams. The length is 18.5 inches. Each link going around the neck is 2.25in. long. The drop is 2.75 inches across and 2 inches tall. It bears a natural patina and has no damage or repairs. The stones are without chips or cracks. There are natural striations naturally inside the stone which is familiar to Mexican Silver just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A beautifully-carved hardstone cameo depicting Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty. She can be identified from the shape of the diadem she wears in her hair. The image is quite similar to American "Morgan" silver dollars from the late 19th century. The color contrast of the stone is quite remarkable. The carnelian cameo is set into an intricate gold setting in the Etruscan Revival taste. The back has both a brooch fitting and a hidden bail for wear as a pendant...

A sweet good luck charm in the form of a 14K gold wishbone entwined with a branch of bright blue enameled forget-me-nots. In Victorian flower language, forget-me-nots represented remembrance. Combined with the wishbone, a piece such of this might have been given as a farewell gift. Stamped with the maker's mark for Winthrop Manufacturing Co (Attleboro, MA).

A handsome Victorian gentleman's ring in a substantial 14K gold setting. The ring features a masculine brown smoky quartz with flashes of goldish-orange brilliance. The setting is enhanced with ornate strapwork against a stippled background. The setting holds the stone well above the finger and the overall look is very weighty. The interior of the shank is stamped "14k."

A rare necklace and matching earrings made of alternating Sterling Silver and Rosewood tubes by William Spratling from Taxco. The marks on this set date them to his Third Design Period: 1951 - 1967.

Necklace measures 17 1/4" long. Marked on the back of the box clasp with the script WS and Eagle #30. Earrings measure 1" long. Marked on the back of one earring with the Script WS and with the Eagle #30 on the back of the other.

The clasp on the necklace snaps securely...

Rare and beautiful vintage sterling and turquoise pendant necklace by Cochiti Pueblo silversmith Cippy Crazyhorse. To classic Pueblo designs, he adds his trademark style of deep stamping and chiseling. This heavy gauge silver pendant measures 2 1/4" diameter and is on silver beads measuring 29 1/2" end to end. This William Spratling Silver Cuff will spark envy unto all at your New Years Eve Party. The cuff has an 87 gram weight. The face front is 1 5/8th inches tall. The side pieces graduate smaller to larger starting with the gap which is 1 inch wide. The inside diameter is 2.25in. which will fit most.

This distinctive ring features an organic design with an asymmetrical domed form. It is textured with wavy narrow ridges similar to seaweed. The inner band bears the mark of Spanish jewelry designer Joachim S’Paliu as well as the mark for sterling silver and dates 1960s-1970s. There is a curious crack on one side of the ring that extends up inside the top (see pictures 4 and 5). It doesn't appear to be damage or affect the stability of the ring...

A long pitchfork shaped sterling silver brooch by Jean Lasnier. He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement.

Made of polished sterling with a central textured piece for an interesting contrast. Measures 4" long and 1" across at the widest. Marked Sterling and Lasnier on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition. Striking design.
