Interesting vintage pin in hand-hammered copper with an overlaid sterling silver abstract representation of a female nude. This highly artistic and original pin has a tiny hallmark which I do not recognize (see photos). It measures 1.5" in length and has an older hook type clasp. In excellent condition.

A vintage hand made Arts and Crafts period hammered silver pendant by Albert Kahlbrandt, (1878-1961), Hamburg, Germany.

Possibly 800 silver, there is a tiny touch mark on the front near the top.

Pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" across. Marked Handarbeit, Kahlbrandt and Hamburg and the number 8. Mark is partially obscured by extra solder, not sure why it is there.

Chain measures 10" long on each side. Has a spring clasp that holds securely.

Fine work.

Here is a mid-20th century handmade ring of two types of wood mounted in a sterling silver frame. The wood is carved into small squares. The rectangular top is soldered to a sterling band and rises about 1/2 inch from the finger. The ring is unmarked, but tests for sterling. The top of the ring measures 3/4 inch long by 5/8 inch wide. The ring is sized to a 7.

A vintage sterling silver large pendant designed by Karen Strand for Anton Michelsen, made in Denmark in a teardrop design. Has a central prong set pale green jewel. Not sure what the stone is. The brooch version of this pendant is part of the British Museum's permanent collection. It is called the Persian Palm.

Lovely Victorian 18K yellow gold cufflinks featuring small seed pearls set in a diamond-shaped mounting. The faces are connected to the torpedo backs with beautifully crafted chains. The faces are marked “18CT” and the chains have an additional hallmark that is illegible.

A spectacularly fine, museum-quality Victorian figural watch fob worked in 18K yellow gold and platinum depicting Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Grapes." The seal shows the fox's head, jaws agape, straining to reach a juicy cluster of grapes that are just barely out of reach. This splendid Victorian brooch is an example of the Egyptian Revival style. It is silver gilt with a polychrome enamel winged pharaoh. The old style of the tube hinge and C clasp date it as prior to 1900. tube hing. It is marked 800 (for silver content) and has an indecipherable maker's mark. The pin is 1 1/4 " X 5/8". There is a small crack in the enamel of one feather. It is 19th century in age.

HUGE hand made MODERNIST bronze nude female angel pendant probably made by either Carl Tasha or Pal Kepenyes, c.1960's. It is very heavy weight and measures a very large 4 3/4" by 4". A superb vintage sterling and blue gem turquoise suite consisting of a matching bracelet, ring and brooch by master Navajo silversmith Fred Peshlakai. A great example of Finland Modernist jewelry from the 1960s, a large kinetic pendant made of bronze in a puzzle design by Pentti Sarpaneva. This has 5 interlocking puzzle pieces and a dangling ball.

Pendant measures 2 1/4" across and 5 3/4" to the top of the bale. Chain measures 18" long and has a hook closure.

Beautiful Arts & Crafts eternity ring from the Art Nouveau period. This ring was made by hand with exquisitely detailed openwork of leaves carved in yellow gold, 15 small rubies, three diamonds set in white gold diamond shapes. Ring width is 9 mm, weight is 5.1 grams, excellent condition. Ring size is 6.5, cannot be resized without interrupting the pattern.

A modernist sterling silver ring #A112 by Georg Jensen, designed by Vivianna Torun Bulow Hube. Measures 7.25. Has a highly polished surface. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925 S Denmark and style #A112. In very nice condition with minor nicks and scratches. Great modernist design.

Wonderful early Navajo handmade 2 1/2" long sterling squash blossom earrings with stamping. These are screwbacks but could easily be converted for pierced ears. They are in fine original condition, weigh 11 grams and the reverse of the findings are marked sterling. Great Navajo earrings.

Based on an Antonio Pineda design this Mexican modernist silver necklace by Cheo I would go as far as to describe as "industrial"! The oblong sterling links and the concave oval connectors are characterized by strong geometry and have an intense "utilitarian" vibe about them. And the opaque green "onyx" glass bars they encompass mirror that "no fuss" attitude. Cheo is one of those workshops we don't know much about but I have seen their work several times over the years...

Beautiful repousse' work in this elegant design by William Spratling brings the piece to life. Weighing 23 grams and measuring 3" x 2" the brooch was designed as a dress or fur clip. Spratling designed this piece in a few different sizes. For comparison see the 4" x 3 1/2" example also listed on our site. All in beautiful condition with excellent patina. The larger size is included in the permanent collection of 20th century Mexican silver at LACMA.

This sterling floral spray is 3 1/8" long by 1 3/" wide. All the rhinestones seem to be original to the piece. It is hallmarked "sterling". However, it looks a lot like Trifari from the 1940s.

Very stylish vintage 14K yellow gold brooch by Tiffany & Co. The simple flowing design will nicely accent a business suit or a little black dress. The back is marked "Tiffany & Co. 14K Germany". Ca. 1960. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 2-5/16" x 5/8". Weight: 4.0 grams.

Suprematist or Constructivist style stick pin: geometric design of a bar and a circle in black and teal plastic, unsigned, 1920s. Length "1 ¼ / 3.3 cm. Condition: fine.

A handsome, classic pair of Art Deco cufflinks with octagonal green chrysoprase plaques mounted with 18K yellow gold to chrysoprase torpedo backs. The gemstones have natural color (not dyed) and excellent translucency. The faces are slightly concave and are finished with a beveled edge. The connectors are stamped with European hallmarks for 18K gold.

This flower pin is well molded and nicely detailed, making an impressive statement. It is secured by a rollover clasp and appears to have been hardly worn. The back bears a maker's mark of what appears to be Dunez Originals. It is marked sterling and measures 3 ½ in. long by 2 in. wide. Weight: 15 grams

A very cool Gucci sterling adjustable bracelet circa 1970. It can basically fit any wrist from approximately 6" to 8" by simply pushing in or out on the bracelet knots. Weighing 47 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. What a fun piece !

This is a Los Castillo design made by Hilario Lopez who worked for several Tallers through his career(of which one was Margot de Taxco) and he was an accomplished Maestro. The construction is open backed repousse but it is framed in heavy silver making a respectable 80 grams heavy. There is lots of bead work executed on this design and it is in impeccable condition. If you could find an original Los Castillo of this rare design it would cost at least twice what this one costs...

A beautiful pair of tiger claw earrings mounted in 18K yellow gold filigree settings. Tiger claws were popular souvenirs of visits to India, especially after Queen Victoria took the title “Empress of India” in 1876. They were sometimes set into jewelry in England or America, and sometimes in India. These earrings are mounted in the traditional Indian style of ornate filigree work. Fabulous and early vintage yellow gold and carved jade drop screwback earrings with Chinese motifs. Circa 1925. Not marked, but they test positive for at least 14KT gold. Together they weigh 4 grams. The carving on the drops is double sided and photos show both sides.

This unusual bracelet is cleverly hand-built from cast circular elements, each riveted to the next. The rivets allow the circular pieces to move as on a hinge, and each is connected at an angle to accommodate a comfortable fit on the wrist. This unusual brooch features poppies with lovely curving, flowing lines, mounted on an oval of mother-of-pearl. Poppies symbolize sleep (Dorothy in the field of poppies, on her way to Oz), rest, and eternal life. The art of "metales casados" (mixed or married metals) was practiced by several Taxco workshops yet I think Victoria was its queen. The bracelet measures 7" around the inside and 7/8" wide at the back. Measures 2 1/2" across the inside. The front section measures 2 1/4" long, 1 7/8" across and 1 1/4" high off the band. Has a secure box clasp.

Unique hinge where the central design is connected to the band makes it very comfortable to wear.

This Los Castillo design 262 is an early one created when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. I believe these early pieces are the very best of her work. Stunning in size with an almost 2 inches of height and a weight of 84 grams of almost pure 980 silver. The condition reflects no damage and also well cared for over time. The diameter is 2.25 inches with the gap set at 1in. This can be professionally adjusted for most to fit. One of the best from the Spratling Era.

An interesting pair of cufflinks carved from pieces of coral and shaped as koi. Each fish has the distinctive ruffled tail fins that are typical of the species. The fronts are joined with silvered chains to the backs which are simple pieces of coral branch. The color is very nice and is completely natural.

Origin: Southeast Asia, ca. 2000. Condition: excellent. Size: 7/8” x 1/2”.

Composed of oblong and rounded sides decorated with Middle Eastern-style motifs of embedded silver vines, leaves and stars. The cuff links are unmarked, but test definitively for silver. The bridge chains are securely fastened and composed of figure 8-like links; the wood and silver decoration exhibit no cracks or other signs of wear. The rounded sides measure just under ½ inch diameter. They are dated conservatively at around 1960.

This Hickok silver tone mother of pearl cuff links /cufflinks with a bridge connector are 1/2" in diameter. All 4 faces are the same. They have a decorative outer edge with a gray/brown mother of peal center. They are in excellent condition.

An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.

Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.
