Listed Glendale artist Mary Owens was known for paintings, but she also made jewelry during her career. Here is an interesting modern, Finnish bracelet. It is made up of 6 slightly convex links with the ridged and textured design so characteristic of Sarpaneva. It is marked, “BRONZE FINLAND P. SARPANEVA.” It measures 7 1/4” long x 1/2” wide. The safety chain adds a nice touch. The bracelet has good heft and is in excellent condition.

A sterling silver hand wrought necklace with eight lightly hammered leaf shaped dangles of graduated sizes by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). Berridge referred to these types of designs as mobiles.

A vintage modernist 800 Silver buckle with a brutalist design. Signed on the back with the studio artist's initials, 'RA' and 800.

Measures 3 1/2" long and 1 7/8" wide. Has a three dimensional design that resembles the surface of the moon.

Elaborate wirework is the defining feature of these distinctive cuff links, which are unmarked but test as silver. They are gilded, including the wirework, and are enhanced with maroon enamel. The buttons are attached to silver gilt bars by chains. They come in a small box with the name of a jeweler in Lisbon, Portugal. The buttons measure a little over 5/8 inch in diameter.
