Large, assymetrical applied silver on oxydized silver background modernist design CROSS pin with 4 1/2 mm cultured pearl at center. Made by JO CATANZARO, deceased modernist jeweler from Buffalo NY, c.1950's. This piece is part of the collection that was purchased from her studio after her death in 2004. Measures 2 7/8" by 2". A well crafted, hand wrought necklace with a long dangling pendant in lightly hammered sterling silver. Measures about 15" around, hard to get an exact measurement due to the curvature of the links. Pendant measures 3 1/2" long. Has a hand made hook clasp that holds securely. Has some tarnish and minor surface scratches. Lays nicely on the neck. Fine modernist design.

An abstract sterling silver brooch by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. May be a stylized leaf or feather. Measures 2" long and 1" at the widest. Signed on the back Steig Sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. There is an area along the darkened edge that is textured, not sure if that is original or wear. Nice contrast of polished and darkened sterling. Interesting three dimensional feel.

These cufflinks produced by Antonio Pineda are elegant and very classy. Obsidian and silver cylinders side by side measure 15/16" x 5/8". T-backs are tight and snappy. Signed and hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco crown, 970, and the eagle assay 17. Weight is 21.2 grams. In excellent vintage condition.

This Florentine micro mosaic fleur de lis pin is 7/8" x 5/8". It is in excellent condion. There seems to be no missing tesserae. Fleur de lis = French symbol of life and power. It also seems to be made of silver with a gold plate.

This Hollycraft 1952 bracelet and earrings have light and dark amethyst colored rhinestones. The stones are a mixture of navettes and chatons. The bracelet is 7" x 9/16". The earrings are 1". Excellent condition.

An iconic pair of sterling silver earrings by Frank Miraglia, based on a famous Ed Wiener design. Originally based on a photograph of the well known modernist dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham.

Earrings measure 1" tall and 3/4" across. Signed F. Miraglia N.Y. Sterling. Screw part is also signed Sterling. Screw backs work fine and hold tightly. Have a minor amount of tarnish.

A vintage modernist heavy sterling silver pendant with a large bezel set faceted rock crystal by the well known Swedish silversmith Ove Urban Bohlin, OUB.

The pendant measures 2 5/8" long including the bale and 1 3/4" across. Marked OUB, Swedish standard mark, U9 for 1970 and a script signature.

Beautifully crafted with light hammering.

Paired with a sterling neck ring with a hook closure marked 925. Neck ring measures about 17" around...

A nice late Victorian silver watch chain with striped niello decoration on alternating links. The chain is finished at one end with a dog clip and at the other with a bamboo-shaped t-bar. The chain is stamped with the Swiss mark for 875 silver used 1882-1934.

A modernist pendant in 830 silver designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus, Ky of Turku Finland.

This reticulated pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 1" wide. Chain measures 23" long and has a spring clasp that holds securely. Chain may be original, has some marks which are only partially struck which may be 830S. Pendant is marked 830S for the Finnish silver standard, and Finland. Nice condition, minor tarnish.

An elegant pair of vintage sterling silver and rosewood inlaid cufflinks by an unknown Taxco maker. The geometric positive and negative space design and is finely executed. The backs are marked “Mexico 925” and have the maker’s registry number “TS-15.”

The Nordic-style pendant is suspended from a cable chain with two large rings and no clasp. The back of the pendant bears the maker’s mark of Kalevala Koru, of Helsinki, Finland. It also shows the mark for the year 1971. The pendant measures 4 inches long, including the bail, and 2 inches wide; including the doubled chain, the entire necklace measures a little over 17 inches long. Weight: 26.8 grams

Striking mid-20th Century modernist sterling and rock crystal Ring by K.E. Palmberg, who was chief designer for the leading Swedish company Alton in the 1950s. Matching bracelet and pendant currently available separately.

The square portion behind the large clear stone is oxidized black, making the crystal to sparkle and glow like crazy. The top portion of the ring measures 6/8" in diameter and stands 3/8" above the ring. Adjustable, but currently a size 6.5...

This faceted helotrope Trifari bracelet is 7" long and 9/16" wide. The back is a silver metal color with a fold over clasp. The stones are bright and the plating is in perfect original condition.

Hallmarks: NONE- The two buttons for signature seem to be there but I cannot read anything on them. All of the pieces that I have had have been sterling, so I am assuming that this one is also.

Dark romantic Bohemian rose cut garnet brooch from the late 19th century set in star cluster. It is 1 3/8" in diameter.

Hand made signed modernist 9 carat pin with oval amethyst, England, c.1980's. Pin measures 2 1/4" long by 5/16" wide with approx. 2.5 carat amethyst. This pretty lavaliere is made of 10 k gold with an especially rich color. The oval gem is actually an amethyst look-alike--a garnet/glass doublet*and the dropper is a fresh water pearl. Sleek and elegant sterling hand made Danish pendant with a gorgeous oval malachite. This is an expertly crafted piece with the textured reverse also being an eye catcher. This measures 2 3/4" long and 1 1/2" wide. It is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the stone. Could be worn on a chain or any size neck ring. A fascinating pair of Irish sterling silver cufflinks, the faces formed from flattened spheres of carved rock crystal set in a silver band. The faces are joined with solid connectors to ball backs. The mountings are indistinctly marked with Irish hallmarks and also have a maker’s mark “RK”.

This is a vintage Oriental style Hattie Carnegie dragon pendant and pin. This item has a gold plated metal foundation that makes up a circle with an Oriental motif to it. This motif surrounds a center green plastic dragon with a pave set rhinestone eye and carved scales that look so realistic. This brilliant buckle is 3 1/8" long by 2 1/2" wide. The setting is either gun metal or Japanned base metal. Most of the stones are brilliant and all are prong set. Circa 1880s.

Two pair of vintage Mexican Sterling Silver screw back earrings by Sigi Pineda in modernist designs. May be purchased together or as two separate pairs.

Decorated with inlaid discs and squares of bone, horn and wood, in the manner of tribal or ethnographic art, this compelling long chain necklace has an exotic, sophisticated feel. The discs are decorated on both sides; the squares, only on one side. Each ring of the cable chain is completely secured with solder; the chain has no clasp but can be doubled. The dating is mostly likely 1950-1960, although it could be older. Doubled, the chain measures 28 ½ inches long. It is conservatively dated.
