A vintage sterling silver brooch and matching screw back earrings by Ming's of Hawaii in a Ginger detailed leaf design.

The brooch measures 1 7/8" high and 2 1/8" at the widest. The rollover clasp holds securely. The earrings measure 7/8" high and 1" at the widest. The screw backs hold securely.

The brooch is signed MING'S and Sterling on the back. Each earring has a partial MING's on the back and sterling on the screw backs...

Lushly designed floral sterling and amethyst pin sold by Sanborn's and possibly made by Fred Davis who managed and designed for the store from 1947 through the early 50's, Mexico, c.1950. Pin is signed "bellmark 22", which was Sanborn's number. It measures 2 1/8" long by 1" wide. Excellent condition except that pin was probably changed with lead solder. Beautiful design that is reminiscent of Davis's work......$12 for insured USA shipping plus applicable NY sales tax.

Though it is not uncommon to find Mexican silver fur pins, it is usually single pieces that are available. Here, however, there is a pair bearing the signature of the Los Castillo in a “bow and flower” design. I am not sure if the workshop ever made a whole parure available in this specific design - I have had the small bow necklace / bracelet sets in the past but this is an enhanced version, with more elements added to the bow and the bow itself bigger and fancier...

This wonderful chunky vintage sterling silver necklace makes a statement no matter what you wear. The four sterling medallions are each sand-cast to create a beautiful frieze of abstract mythological figures in high relief, and each sterling link of the necklace is hand-wrought by the artist, one link presently unattached, each piece marked Sterling. One of my favorite insect designs in the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, this “machine age” dragonfly is known as a Los Castillo creation yet here it is signed by a “less celebrated” Taxco maestro. What first attracted me to this creature is its “industrial”, perforated wings that make the dragonfly look more delicate but awe-inspiring at the same time. How big does a piece of jewelry have to be before it qualifies to be called monumental? I think at 4.25'“ tall, this Mexican Deco butterfly brooch definitely fits the bill. Fauna- and flora-themed pieces are not rare within the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry yet examples of astounding proportions like our brooch come far and in between. The semi-translucence of the stone is here enhanced by the variegated color which progresses from lucid white to sage green...

Elegant oriental figure with gorgeous enamel in ten different colors! Sterling. From the 1930's of 40's. Very three dimensional and heavy. 3 1/2" long, 1 5/8" wide.

This is a 14K GOLD CUPID PIN WITH a PEARL at the Tip of the Arrow. The size is 1 1/4" tall X 1 1/8" width. There are Faux sapphires set in the eyes while the PEARL is Genuine 5 1/2 - 6mm in diameter. Unmarked this piece has been tested and is guaranteed 14K. Dating ca. 1950- 1970 the Condition is Excellent.

Pedro Castillo was known for quality in his work and beautiful design. He has an impressive resume working for William Spratling in the 30's and also a Maestro for Hector Aguilar beginning in 1939. He opened his own taller sometime in the 40's. This parure is properly hallmarked as shown and numbered 115 on the tongue of the necklace and bracelet and the back of the earrings. Each link is heavy silver repousse and weighs a total of 120 grams. The necklace is almost 16in. long and 1in...

A senor doll motif. Vintage circa 1945 sterling silver pin brooch as a pre assay era figural man with sombrero carrying a crate of 'tomatoes' stamped: SILV MEX - testing at least 90%, tho often these are higher. No doubt by a talented Taxco Mexico Mexican silversmith working in repousse holloware.

Being offered is an exceedingly rare circa 1940 sterling silver & jade cabochon necklace & earrings set by Fred Davis of Taxco, Mexico. Early pieces by one of the pioneers of the premiere Taxco silver ateliers. Handwrought half domed links with bezel set jade cabochons. Tongue & box clasp. Earrings are screw on. Dimensions: 16” long, links are 1" wide; earrings are 1" x 3/8". Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

A hand made low grade silver "flower" pendant with 15 faceted natural antique-cut rubies, a single faceted natural emerald, three oval turquoise stones and opaline glass. Three stones are missing, a few rubies are crunched and some are replacements, and the small emerald at the top needs to be secured in its setting. Date unknown, unmarked and the silver untested...

A lovely sterling bracelet composed of applied leaves, berries and curled stems on sterling wire frames, reminiscent of the contemporary Danish style. The large fold-over clasp is also handmade and in excellent condition; it is stamped sterling. There is no maker’s mark. All connecting links are securely soldered, and the silver shows no signs of stress or serious wear. The bracelet has been lightly polished, but still shows much oxidation. It measures 7 3/8 inches long by 1 inch wide...

This sterling floral spray is 3 1/8" long by 1 3/" wide. All the rhinestones seem to be original to the piece. It is hallmarked "sterling". However, it looks a lot like Trifari from the 1940s.
