A nice mid-Victorian early thermoplastic or vulcanite cameo brooch c1860-70. Made of the same medium brown thermoplastic used in the era for items such as photograph cases (and sometimes mis-described as gutta percha, and also known by the trade name of Vulcanite), this 1-7/8" x 1-1/2" brooch has fine detail, and it depicts a cameo of very high definition (she sits a full 3/8" above the surface platform)...

A 9k rose gold green turquoise cabochon solitaire ring dated 1971. This size 6-3/4 or 6.75 English ring features a 3/8" x 5/16" claw-set cabochon stone and it weighs 1.8 grams. It is marked with a full set of Birmingham, England hallmarks for 1971 with .375 and 9ct gold marks along with a maker's mark. It has the expected polishing and surface marks on the natural stone and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

The Deco year saw an influx of gorgeous jewelry out of China in which, more often than not, contemporary silver work was combined with antique elements like carved semi-precious stone buttons, medallions and even mah-jhong and other game pieces. The ring I am presenting here is an immigrant of that era. Delicate silver vermeil adjustable shank and an old amethyst "button" with a lotus flower carving come together in an understated, classically elegant combination...

Early sterling silver SB earrings attached to a card that reads: Original Jewelry by Frances H. Boothby, then Art Shop Munson - Williams - Proctor Institute, then Utica, New York without a zip code making this pre 1960's.
The original box also has the Art Shop info sticker. The mark of "fhb" could be under the screw back findings which are marked Sterling and are identical to others on FHB earrings...

Vintage Circa 1945 early pre assay Mexican Pre Columbian design puffy cheek bird man mask Maya or Aztec ethnographic motif repousse pin with a bird or serpent on its headdress.
Mark: Made in Mexico Sterling - with old style safety clasp hinge.
A most talented silversmith took a sheet of sterling and hammered it onto a pitch bowl to create such repousse detail. Because it is holloware one looks for the air escape openings which in this case are found at one ear...

Circa 1960 mid 20th century modernist fan rectangular station copper bracelet signed REBAJES for Frank Rebajes, the most successful modernist jewelry manufacturer of the mid century. Born in the Dominican Republic in 1907, he came to New York in 1923 to seek his fortune, establishing his own factory in 1932, and his own Fifth Avenue store in 1942.

a stylized MS or SW in a circle with Assay #17 which is associated with Los Ballesteros and Antonio Pineda although looks like another Serafin Moctezuma mark?

Very modern mid century pin earrings set stamped and signed STERLING REBAJES on the pin only as the moderne screwback earrings are just stamped Sterling on the turn wheels.
Rebajes' foreman was Otto R Bade and also made these in the same mid century modern style. This pair however, is made and marked by the former.
The pin is 2 5/8 X 1 1/2", the ears are 1". 1/2 Oz or 16 Grams...

Signed Vintage Antique Enamel Sterling Silver turn of century to early Art Deco Pin with old very wide C catch and rich vibrant multi color abstract enamel guilloche colors yellow, blue, black, orange & green.

Stamped: OB Sterling for Ostby & Barton Company of nearby Providence, RI. He was the largest ring manufacturer in the world then. How many enamel pins did his company make?
Ostby perished on the Titanic while his daughter Helen survived.

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Although could be a higher content - the weight is dense as with many early pre assay jewelry. Early wide C catch. By one of Spratling's or Aguilar's contemporary silversmiths no doubt.

While fold over secure clasp is engaged it measures inside 6 3/4" X just under 1 1/4" wide and weighs 21 Grams.
