Originally, this was the largest of a set of 3 graduated matching silver necklaces. They were worn as a set for festival by the Miao Chinese Ethnic Minority women. The necklace was skillfully hand-formed from a sheet of silver into a curving tapered tube with a reposse pattern of 2 dragons chasing pearl. It spans 10.5 inches across.

The combination of fine, high purity silver and moonstone is one of my favorite and was equally favored, it seems, by Antonio Pineda, Taxco's renowned modernist. Set in three-dimensional 970 silver settings the stones at hand have a luminous pearlescence that draws the eye into their magical depths, and perfectly reflect the warm glow of the precious metal surrounding them. Antonio's jewelry is characterized by an unfailing sense of easy luxury and that feeling is present here as well...

An elegant antique jewelry case covered in rich lipstick-red red velvet finished with satin trim and passementerie trim. The interior is covered in matching tufted silk. The interior of the lid is gilt-stamped “Horlogerie Bijouterie Brilloit Blaye [France].” The box was probably originally meant for a small pocket watch or a medallion. Records indicate the shop was located at 2, cours de La Fontaine as of 1889.

An extraordinary pair of Art Deco cufflinks, the faces comprising rectangular black onyx plaques centered with 1/2-carat round brilliant-cut diamonds in collet settings. The ends of the onyx tablets are finished with highly polished rounded platinum shoulders with ridged decoration. This same decorative element appears on the baton backs. The diamonds are of exceptional quality with strong fire. The color is estimated at E/F and the clarity at VVS1...

Interesting sterling ring from Finland with a lovely rutilated quartz cabochon stone. The table measures over 1" long, and the stone stands 4/8" tall. The ring has the crown symbol, is marked "925, Made in Finland," and has an abstract hallmark which I do not recognize, along with the mark "U7" which means it was made between 1954 - 1977. size 6.5. In excellent vintage condition.

An 18k diamond solitaire ring circa 1900. This size 7-1/2 ring features a 50-52 point diamond by gauge. It is nice and clean looking with good colour and clarity however it has some very tiny chipping around the girdle and it is slightly off round in cut. It is stamped 18K Wm.A.C. and it has "ARTHUR AND DORIS(?)" engraved on the inside of the shank...

Unusual ring featuring textured sterling silver holding a large Rhodonite sphere. The natural stone is pink with dramatic black veining. The design has a trippy organic feel. The stone is quite fine, and probably originated in South Africa. The ring itself is probably American, circa 1970s. The table measures 1.25" by 1", giving this ring a very large presence. Size 5.5. Unsigned. In excellent condition with a nice patina.

I always loved "reindeer moss" jewelry and I expected, when I would finally get one, that it would hail from Finland. Little did I know that it would actually come from the other end of the world. But here it is, magically exotic, reminiscent of ancient forests, with trees dripping in the cool mist, their floors soft with fallen leaves and pine needles...

A 10k Edwardian turquoise and pearls twist shaft bar pin brooch circa 1900. This 1-1/2 x 7/16" pin features a natural turquoise cabochon stone surrounded by seed pearls, a twist shaft on a gold mount and it has a later non-gold safety clasp. This unmarked pin tests as 10k yellow gold and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the clasp replacement...

Formed as palm fronds, with one folded toward the back, this simple pin was designed by Gertrud Engel for Anton Michelsen. It bears the ‘Rougie’ mark on the back, which likely refers to the design or the collection line. Engel specialized in naturalistic designs based on Danish coastal flora. This pin has a secure rollover clasp and measures 2 1/8 inches long by 1 inch wide. An identical pin is pictured in Ginger Moro's book "European Designer Jewelry." Weight: 5.3 grams

This Showgirl-in-profile pin with long wavy bejeweled tresses. It is two toned riveted metal version.

This pin is 2 7/8" long by 2" wide.

Because of its size and aesthetic appeal, the "Showgirl" is a satisfying motif to collect in its many permutations, including the wood version.

This bold and edgy Margot de Taxco bracelet is heavy and very substantial, with wide incised oxidized recesses. It's a design which is not often seen and most certainly a statement piece.

This unusual necklace features faceted crystal round beads (5/16" and 5/8"), multicolour striped crystal 3/4" rods, black glass spacers and black round beads (7/16" and 3/4"). Being offered is a circa 1960 sterling silver necklace by master silversmith Jose Anton of Taxco, Mexico. Anton was one of the earlier prominent silversmiths during the Spratling era. This colorful brooch depicts a red poppy in full bloom, with green leaves and buds. It was made by the well-known Bippart Griscomb & Osborn Company of Newark, New Jersey. It is also stamped for “14k”. Measuring 1” x 1-1/4”, it has the long pin stem often found on antique jewels.
