A handsome griffin with back-stretched wings, a lion’s head and a curling serpent’s tail grasps an old mine cut diamond in this 19th century French brooch and necklace slide. Interestingly, the creature’s tongue is licking the diamond. The eye is set with a small faceted ruby. The back retains the original pin stem and a hinged clasp so the griffin can be attached to a chain. The hinged clasp is marked “Déposé” meaning the griffin was a patented design. Rare modernist earrings by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee, a husband and wife team who created unique jewelry in their studio from the late 1940s until the 1970s. The minimalist aesthetic sterling silver earrings are circa 1950s, and feature discs each decorated by a single silver sphere. The earrings are screw-backs, and the tops measure .75" in diameter. Signed "Sterling, Burkee." Excellent vintage condition.

Extremely fine Victorian memorial ring in 18K yellow gold, the shoulders with glossy black taille d’epargne enamel and engraved foliate decoration. A shield-shaped black and white sardonyx cartouche crowns the ring and covers a hair compartment visible through the beveled rock crystal cover on the inside of the ring. The inside of the shank is engraved “Thomas Bland 1857 Obt 23 March 68 years” and the compartment holds a woven plaque of his gray hair...

A very fine Chinese Gilt hairpin from late Qing, very intricate and fine work with flora and bird, underlying material is silver then gilding done in those era.

This great bracelet measures 7" long. It features 13 sterling and enamel charms that connotes travel throughout the United States and Canada. Each charm is marked with a sterling mark, as well as a maker's hallmark a sterling mark, as well as a maker's mark, as does the bracelet itself. It has good heft (just over 1 ounce), and is excellent condition.

An unusual and handsome 14K yellow gold tie bar designed as a Gothic-style strap hinge by Larter & Sons. When not being used to hold a tie in place, the piece could also be used as a money clip. The design is nicely detailed with beveled edges and raised bolts. The back is stamped with Larter's hallmark. Larter manufactured pieces such as this for leading jewelry retailers such as Tiffany and Cartier.

Rare sterling silver cuff bracelet set with 2 obsidian stones designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Front panel is 1 1/2" high. Circa 1770 Silver seal fob. It is hand engraved with an H monogram. It is beautifully done and well decorated on the top. It would be the perfect thing to hang from an old watch chain. It is unmarked and in excellent condition. The seal portion is oval measuring approximately 7/8" long and 3/4" wide. The fob is 1.25" tall. The overall weight is 12.6 grams.
