A tailored, simply elegant design is this 18Kt white and yellow gold mid century modern stylized ribbon ring. Each half is identical to the other except for the one side is 18Kt yellow gold while the other side is 18Kt white gold. The ring is a size 6 and can be sized.

Here is a shield-shaped sorority pin (9/16 x 1/2”), with 16 tiny seed pearls set around the perimeter, and 3 colored stones. The 2 upper stones are emerald green, the bottom one is sapphire blue. They are too tiny for us to identify with certainty. The shield is crossed by a band of white enamel bisecting a background of black enamel. Large pendent of amber from the west coast of Denmark, of irregular tridimensional rhombus shape. Made by simply polishing a lump of amber! It has the best deep honey color with some more intense red spots. It comes with a silver necklace. These interesting turquoise and sterling silver earrings were made in Mexico. The clover shape looks like three hearts with a stem, with the turquoise inlay separated by the sterling silver. The back of one of the screwbacks is marked HECHO EN MEXICO 925 (of which only HECHO EN M and 9 are legible). They also have the maker's initials: a curved BEH, of which the H is not fully stamped. These earrings measure 1" x 3/4". The patina is great as are the turquoise colors.

A classic, heavy pair of Art Deco 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the oval faces finished in a simple reeded platinum border. Each face is centered with an old European cut diamond (G/H; VVS2). The backs are marked “Gold & Plat” (tested 14K) and have the maker’s mark for Carrington.

Substantial and quite unusual in its design this modernist Mexican silver bracelet is an Enrique Ledesma creation and it is adorned with two faceted color-change sapphires. The bracelet’s shape reminds me of ancient torques yet here the two ends bypass each other in a tight, determined embrace. I love the way the sterling tube grows in diameter as it progresses to the bracelet’s front where it is abruptly cut at an angle to accept the gemstone in a crown setting...

A caged amethyst sterling cuff marked ORB Sterling. There is some spotting and light wear on the silver. The cuff is 1" wide. The inner diameter is 2-1/4" with some give. 43.9gr.

An early Danish Skonvirke 826 silver brooch signed BH and with a dragonfly for Bernard Hertz, Copenhagen 1893-1937. He was a silversmith who was well known for his early Skonvirke designs.

Measures 2 7/8" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Has a round bezel set green stone cabochon, maybe Chrysoprase, at the bottom and a larger bezel set oval darker green cabochon at the top.

A very fine Imperial Austro-Hungarian bangle bracelet simply designed as an oval of twisted gold, but then set at the top with a trefoil of three cornflower blue sapphires surrounded by rose cut diamonds. The sapphires, .72, .58, and .52 carat, have microscopic stringer, sharp-edge milky bands, and snowflake inclusions typical of sapphires mined in Kashmir in the 1880s. The sapphires have excellent saturation, medium-dark tone, pure blue color without violet overtones, and a characteristic velve...

An elegant Victorian snowflake pendant worked in 14K yellow gold and set with old mine cut diamonds. The overall effect is very delicate with a lot of sparkle. The center diamond is approximate .33 carat and is graded as I/J, I1; the other diamonds, each .10 carat are I/J color and SI1/2 clarity. The pendant has a folding bail and retains the original pinstem which disappears nicely when being worn as a pendant. The back is marked “14K.”

A very attractive pair of double-sided cufflinks fashioned as oval mother-of-pearl discs centered with small seed pearls and enclosed in an opaque white enamel border, all set in yellow gold. White cufflinks such as these would originally have been worn only with white tie, but today they are particularly elegant with shirts in darker colored fabrics. The connectors are marked “14K” and have the maker’s mark for Larter & Sons.

This great brooch / pin / pendant has a diameter of 1 1/2". It is slightly convex. The turquoise stone is inlaid (not enamel), very nicely. The back is marked TAXCO 925 STERLING (blurry) in a circle with very blurry initials of silversmith in the middle. The eagle assay mark is number 3, very lightly stamped.

This vintage/antique lapis lazuli beaded necklace has lapis stones which are both variagated in color and graduated in size. At each end of the necklace is a silver ball next to the barrel clasp. This strand of perfectly matched graduated beads measures 20 inches long.

Here is a stunning pale yellow faceted citrine ring. A pierced gold setting highlights the stone. A very nice late Victorian hinged bangle bracelet worked in a pierced scrolling design. The front features a row of three square cabochon rhodolite garnets set diagonally. The rhodolites have a lovely purplish hue that distinguishes them from their more common all reddish-brown garnet cousins. The bangle is fairly wide, but the piercing gives it an elegant lightness. The clasp is marked “14K.”

A lovely Victorian starburst pendant worked in 14K yellow gold and set with an old mine cut diamond at the center. Stars in Victorian jewelry symbolized guidance and wisdom. Most Victorian starbursts have straight rays, but the Art Nouveau-influenced curlicue design of this example makes it especially nice. A wonderful Victorian equestrian pin in the form of a horseshoe nail enhanced with a cluster of small natural pearls, sapphires, and rubies. Nails were a popular motif in Victorian jewelry, and the red, white, and blue color scheme had momentary popularity around the time of the American centennial in 1876. This piece is a pin, but can easily be worn as a pendant suspended from a chain without alteration. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

An impressive 42-carat citrine centers this elegant pendant. The 14K gold setting features stylized flowers and foliage on each side of the stone.
