Modernism at it's best, this 970 silver & inlaid shell bracelet was designed & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). This English jewel reflects the aesthetics of fin de siècle France, with its pink topazes and demantoid garnets. A very fine pair of double-sided knot cufflinks worked in platinum and set with diamonds and sapphires. The diamonds are graded as G color, VS1 clarity. The sapphires are of equal quality, with medium-dark vivid blue color and eye-clean clarity. All stones are well-cut with good proportions. The faces are attached with removable connectors. Each face is stamped with an unidentified European hallmark.

An impressive cocktail ring worked in 18K white gold and featuring multi-colored pearls set with diamonds. The pearls, ranging in size from 4.2 to 8.4 mm, are in at least eight distinctly identifiable shades including cream, rose, steel grey, aubergine, and lavender. The fire that this Elsa Schiaparelli bracelet and earrings sends out has to be seen to be believed. Large Gripoix poured glass, lava stones (sometimes called gum drop stones) are surrounded by 12 brilliant aurora borealis rounds. Very fine pair of late Art Noveau 18K gold double-sided cufflinks. The faces show a beautifully designed young woman's face stylized wisps of hair cascading around a porthole-like frame. The design is really superb. The connectors open so the cufflinks are easy to put on. The backs are marked with French 18K import marks. The rather severely stylized design suggests that they are of Belgian or German (possibly Austrian) origin.
