A fine modernist 18K yellow gold ring by Burle Marx set with an intricately carved aquamarine in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of Brazilian gemstones, often fashioned by carving or tumbling rather than faceting, a technique he invented in 1948. The aquamarine’s deep, dusky blue color contrasts beautifully with the gold, which is worked with florentined engraving typical of Burle Marx’s pieces...

Generously long and imposing in its presence, this early Mexican Deco silver, copper and stone necklace with cascabeles is a great example of the way ancient Mesoamerican artifacts found their way into jewelry created during the country's 20th c. This is the style associated with the Peruzzi and Coppini Bros workshops of Florence and based on the quality of the castings, I would suggest that it was made by either one of them. Circa 1930's to early 40's, this is a crazy killer gorgeous ring and ultimate statement piece from Fred Davis. The amethyst measures 1 3/16" x 15/16, and it is huge. Silver tests out to be just over 97% purity. Quite substantial at a weighty 22.8 grams. Measures a size 7.5 on a ring sizer. Signed and hallmarked with the conjoined FD, Silver, and Made in Mexico. It's in excellent vintage condition. Has never been sized.

Hallmarks date this exceedingly rare Antonio Pineda bracelet 1941-1948.

Executed in 980 silver and signed with his early mark "AP", this is a truly stunning piece. Composed of ten trapezoid panels, each with a high domed amethyst cabochon and a silver dome, the links alternative up and down. Closes with a pin on a chain.

Collector quality.

Weight is 83.5 grams.

Closed, wearable length just over 7", with a width of 1 1/8".

This is an early Antonio Pineda necklace that I have seen only in obsidian. Everyone over uses the word rare but ...this is very, very rare.. The stones are better than most amethysts seen and the dangles drop from the center is 1.75in.long. The weight is 106.5 grams. With a wearable of 16.5in. it will fit most.
