Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible. A museum quality oval pendant signed Benevidez (Johnny) and Tim Yazzie Sterling. Possibly a piece by both men who are Santo Domingo/Navajo artists. The Tim Yazzie mark is not typical however if one searches the web, one can find similar pieces created by both men. Silver overlay designs highlight the intricately cut lapis,onyx and turquoise stones. A solid pendant, it measures 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" and weighs a hefty 49gr. The sterling collar has a hook clasp and is marked TS 91 Taxco 925.

Navajo silversmith Kenneth Begay (1913-1977) was an early innovator and leader in Navajo modern jewelry design. He is known for his clean, bold, modern designs while still influenced by his traditional background. This pair of sterling cuff bracelets are a perfect example. One of the bracelets measures 5 1/8" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening and the other measures 5" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening. A striking, large, heavy sterling and turquoise pin by Navajo silversmith George Kee, made during his time working at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Az. Measuring 2 5/8" by 1 5/8" it weighs 27 grams and is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the center stone. Signed as shown. A wonderful compliment to any sweater, blazer or coat.

This moonstone necklace and/or choker has great detail, with foliate accents. It sits on the neck very nicely, with its style. It is sterling silver with lovely, moonstone cabochons surrounded by applied leaves. It is a Navajo / Native American / South Western piece. The chain is 15 1/2 long. The back is marked STERLING with the maker's mark clearly show a D. The other letter is cut off (see pics). It has good heft and is in excellent condition.
