Sterling modernist star earrings by the famous NYC silversmith, Ed Wiener, c.1952. These hand made asymmetrical stars with recessed oxydized silver solid centers and shiny silver forming the raised outline of the stars are expansive and exciting. They measure 1 3/8" at the widest and are in excellent condition. The screwback was put over the mark, so you see "ED ST". This was a frequent occurrence and the complete mark is under the soldered screwback...

Striking ethnographically-inspired kinetic modernist earrings by William Spratling, arguably the most important name in Mexican Silver. The top portion are classic Taxco, but the large dangling loops freely suspended add a fresh, modernist touch, along with the excitement of motion. These are large statement pieces, measuring 1.75' in length. They are not heavy and easy to wear. Original screw-back mechamisms in good working order...

A contemporary of Matilde Poulat's, maestro M. Velazquez also worked in Mexico City and created jewelry primarily in the repousse style associated with the capital and Matl, its most famous practitioner. Velazquez was a true master of his art - his jewelry is bold and his repoussage confident, sculptural and nicely finished. The inspiration for the fish brooch at hand was obviously an ancient Maya or Aztec glyph or carving...

An outstanding pair of Napoleon III 18K yellow gold double-sided cufflinks, the faces fashioned from carved rhodolite garnets centering small collet-set natural pearls. The garnets have a strong purplish color and excellent clarity. The edge of each face is accented with scalloped ropework border. The faces are joined by figure-8 connectors. Stamped with French 18K gold hallmarks.

Origin: France, ca. 1860. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 9/16" diameter. Weight: 6.49 grams.

Being offered is a remarkable circa 1960 .970 silver (better than sterling) bracelet by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico, comprising links made of heavy gauge silver crossing arches with superb teardrop obsidian stones. Dimensions size 7 3/4" x 1 1/2" wide. Marked. In excellent condition.

A Mexico sterling necklace and earrings signed AAR. This nicely made and attractive matching Mexican sterling silver 15" necklace and 7-1/2" bracelet set features 9/16" wide paisley-shaped links and hook ends; each is stamped HECHO EN MEXICO 925 AAR STERLING MEXICO with a 3 bell mark. The set weighs 75.6 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some loss to the black patina on the links on the necklace...

Modernist handmade necklace signed "SAM W. GRAVES STERLING", c.1950's. It combines an art deco and Native American feel in an interesting geometric chevron design. Not certain, but I believe that Sam Graves was a contemporary of Frank Patania and H. Fred Skaggs, working in the southwest. This hollow silver necklace shows a high degree of craftsmanship. There are 3 sections connected by a paper clip chain. The middle section measures 2 1/4" by 1". Each side section measures 1 7/8" by 3/4"...

Sterling BURRO key ring by VICTORIA DE TAXCO, Mexico, c.1955. Signed "VICTORIA DE TAXCO MEXICO STERLING 267 (bellmark there but number is faded from use)". Measures almost 3" long. Large and beautifully crafted Navajo Silver and Turquoise ring, size 8 3/4", measuring 1 3/4" long and 1" wide, and 1 1/4" high from base of band to top of stone. The stone has a lovely caramel and brown matrix, with a deep turquoise green tone. It is signed "sterling" and has a maker's mark that is not clear. From a collection of good Navajo jewelry, most pre 1980s. In good condition, some wear and slight tarnist visible to silver, but the stone is in perfect condition, nicely polished and ...

A fine pair of lapis lazuli cufflinks mounted in 18K yellow gold. The front faces are panel-cut lapis spheres and the backs are round lapis tablets set in twisted rope borders. The lapis is fine quality with just a tiny smattering of glittery pyrite. The faces are joined by chains. Tested and guaranteed 18K.

An elegant Retro 14K yellow gold floral brooch, the flower head set with a ring of blue sapphires surrounding a cabochon moonstone. This classic combination of moonstone and sapphire was very popular in Retro jewelry, probably because the color of sapphires brings out the blue undertones of moonstone. The quality of the stones is very fine. The sapphires are a bright cornflower blue, and the moonstone has very good adularescence. The back is marked “14K”.

Origin: America, ca. 1940...

This is an antique Silver belt of Nyonya lady in Straits Settlements, still very fashionable today to be worn with even jeans, in a very good condition. It is with the flora and pheonix bird design typical of the Chinese Works of art of the era, circa 1900s or earlier.
