He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement. An outstanding, oversized pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks fashioned as lengths of bamboo by Cartier. The surfaces are worked in the Florentine finish popular in mid-century jewelry. The "notches" in the bamboo are polished for nice contrast. The back faces are hinged. The cufflinks are marked "Cartier/18K/Italy" and have the serial number "26464".

An elegant pair of 18K yellow gold earclips by Haroldo Burle Marx set with intricately carved jelly tourmalines in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Gorgeous period art nouveau sheath with nude woman playing the harp sitting in the ocean waves with birds flying above by Unger Brothers, Newark, c.1905. A fine 14K yellow gold griffin stickpin by Riker. The eye is set with a bright faceted ruby and the claw grasps an old European cut diamond. As with all Riker pieces, the gemstones are of excellent quality. This stick pin could be worn as is, or converted to a ring or necklace charm. The reverse is stamped with Riker's hallmark.

Vintage Coral and 18k yellow gold ring. The large coral cabochon measures 22mm long by 10mm wide. It is beautifully set in an intricate basket setting from the 1950s. The ring is a size 8.5 and the overall weight is 4.7g. It is natural color and in excellent condition.

Also an embarrassment, since two gemologists can't determine what the stone or the metal might be. However, this is a very beautiful Egyptian Revival piece which ought to be vintage (or even antique) The enigmatic yellow stone does not appear to be glass and the metal tests as 10 k gold, but by this time uncertainty rules! The pin is 2 5/8" overall, and the decorative head is 7/8", so it's large enough to make a statement on your lapel. We think it's circa 1900, but are not sure...

An exceptional pair of classic high fashion 18Kt yellow gold Ionic column earrings from the 1960-s. The earrings measure 29 millimeter high and 23 millimeter wide, and have a combination of posts and omega backs. The marks on the finely made pierced-design backs are stamped 750 for 18Kt, and have a hallmark of the jewelry maker.

A 19thC hand-carved shell cameo in a gold filled pendant/pin setting. This 1-7/8" x 1-3/8" brooch features the Eros and Psyche scenic cameo, and the pin has a flip-up loop and safety catch. The cameo dates to c1900 and the setting appears to be a bit later (c1920).
