This early 1940's Los Castillo necklace is a masterpiece, designed by Margot van Voorhies Carr / Margot de Taxco, who was married to Antonio Castillo at that time. It's executed in 980 silver, measuring 19" end to end. Just shy of 1 3/4" wide. Weight is 255.2 grams. Signed and hallmarked "980 Los Castillo Taxco", with the design # 262. Absolutely stunning.

This 1-7/8" x 1-1/2" cameo has a pin with safety catch and a loop for wear as a pendant; it is unsigned and in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some minor loss to the chrome plating. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

Sleek biomorphic tie clip signed "Sterling, A&K, Denmark." A&K most likely stands for Aarre & Krogh Eftf, circa 1950s. The clip measures 2.25" in total length. The rear portion which clips onto the tie measures just over 1.75". In excellent condition.

A striking Art Nouveau 18K gold and pearl necklace in the form of a pendant of chestnut leaves suspended from a cluster of chestnuts. The gold surfaces are entirely hand engraved with very fine detail. The pendant is set with a natural button pearl and suspends a second pearl at the bottom. A wonderful Victorian/Art Nouveau pendant and brooch in the form of a mythological griffin grasping a diamond in its jaws. The creature’s open-winged pose is somewhat unusual for this type of jewel, as they tend to be more curled up in a more circular position. Very nice Art Nouveau 10K yellow gold stickpin in the form of a lady’s head. A 4-pt. old mine-cut diamond of very good quality is set at the end of her trailing hair. The surface of the gold has the “bloomed” texture characteristic of Art Nouveau jewelry.

Our C1790 ring is an 18th century glass intaglio of an ancient signed gem depicting the head of a laughing satyr, or faun (a young satyr). Such carvings were called Tassies (explained further down). "Gems" in this case refers not to precious stones, but to ancient classical Greek carvings, highly valued miniature works of art. Our glass intaglio is signed in Greek for Ammonioy, meaning "by Ammonios"...

This is a wonderful vintage retro style 14K yellow gold horseshoe-shaped ring featuring a central old European-cut diamond, the horseshoe framed with five single cut rasberry garnet rhodolites and a large rasberry garnet rhodolite drop, marked 14K,, wt. 6.4g. Measures 7/8 in.H, size 5, diamond-.88ct, approximately; Condition is vey good to excellent.

Decorated with applied wirework rosettes, this hoop necklace has an Asian feel, but sports Austrian import marks (hard to see in the photo). It is continuous, and doesn’t appear to have ever had a clasp. The necklace has a nice weight and a dramatic, contemporary look. The Austrian mark for silver content is illegible, but the necklace is probably .800 or .835 fineness; the mark indicates a registration in Vienna. Doubled, it measures about 14 ½ inches long. Weight: 74.8 grams
