An impressive Retro period ring worked in 18K yellow gold with platinum accents, and featuring a .48-ct old mine cut diamond flanked by a pair of bright .47-ct round brilliant synthetic rubies (customary for the period). The ring was designed by Albert Rolland, a custom jeweler who set up shop in Paris in 1904, and is finely detailed with ropetwists and beading, as well as an ornate gallery along the sides. Felipe Martinez opened his shop, "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950. A former sculptor who had worked with Hubert Harmon in the 1940's, Martinez was known for his work with beautiful stones which melded seamlessly into his silver designs. This bracelet is an exquisite example of what he was known best for. It's a thick and substantial piece, with six silver panels - each having three sections of azurite stone inlay...

This is typical fine work by Hobe. The leaves and bow are layered. The roses go a step further by having individual petals wrap to form a circle just as real roses do. The semi-triangular plaque with the rectangular bottom marked Hobe, sterling, 1/20 14k, indicates that this brooch is lovely older Hobe dating between 1918 and 1932. 3" long.1 1/2" wide. 1/2" deep.

This classic Art Nouveau stick pin is centered by a round amethyst, birthstone for February. (Back in the day, amethysts were thought to prevent inebriation, as well as being a cure for headaches – there’s a theme here!). Circa 1940s size 7 14K rose and white gold eternity ring with 16 diamonds set in crescent moons made of white gold, 12 rubies set in curved flowers. Hallmarked 14K, width is 9.5 mm (approximately 3/8 inch), weight is 6.7 grams. LAYAWAY AVAILABLE!

This triangular pin features a cabochon pink quartz set in a recessed bezel mount. It bears the mark of Danish maker N.E. From and the sterling mark. Deep patination on the front enhances the stone. The rollover clasp is very secure. The pin has a small nick to the edge on the back, shown in the detail photo; it is not viewable from the front. Each side of the pin measures 1 ½ inches long.

Pedro Castillo was known for quality in his work and beautiful design. He has an impressive resume working for William Spratling in the 30's and also a Maestro for Hector Aguilar beginning in 1939. He opened his own taller sometime in the 40's. This parure is properly hallmarked as shown and numbered 115 on the tongue of the necklace and bracelet and the back of the earrings. A very pretty pierced wedding band depicting rose gold Tudor roses alternating with yellow gold clusters of cherries. Each rose is centered with a synthetic ruby. Rubies from the Retro period are almost always synthetics because the mining of natural rubies was not possible during World War II. The design is very crisp. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

A curving band of old European, transitional and single-cut diamonds sparkle in the yellow gold ribbon top of this Edwardian hinged bangle bracelet. The larger diamonds are clasped in buttercup settings, while the smaller ones are bead-set with milgrain accents. The diamonds are good quality, averaging J color and SI1 clarity. The back of the bracelet has a caged structure that mimics the openness of the front. The clasp is stamped 14K.

A 14k large single cultured pearl ring circa 1960s. This vintage size 6-1/4 or 6.25 solitaire ring features a 7.5 mm. cultured pearl with a creamy white lustre with slight tinges of green and pink. The lustre is slightly irregular with a bit of natural roughness and surface pitting, and this ring is stamped 14K. It weighs 3.0 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
