A vintage modernist sterling silver stylized brooch with a Pre Columbian bird by the noted Peruvian silversmith, Graziella Laffi. The bird has a teal blue enamel eye and an oversized head. May be a duck. Body has an additional layer of sterling. The brooch is curved for a 3-D effect.

A superb vintage 1950s period four strand necklace and matching clip-on earrings. This set consists of the 22-1/2" quadruple strand necklace and the 1-1/4" x 1-1/8" earrings. Each has gold plated mounts and the necklace has a snapover catch. The beads include molded turquoise glass, gold plated beads and facetted round and tubular black glass beads. They are unsigned but there is a PAT. 2733491 on the earrings...

This handmade abstract pin features a biomorphic design composed of a slice of translucent banded carnelian with an unpolished edge, secured within a biomorphic frame of thick, hand-wrought sterling silver wire. It is unsigned and bears only a sterling mark. A rollover clasp secures the pin. The stone is in lovely condition, and is held in place by small silver bands applied across the front and back frames; there is no adhesive. The pin measures 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches.

A huge Coro retro gilt sterling coat pin from the 1940s. This 4-1/2" x 2-5/8" brooch features branches and flowers with aqua blue claw-set foil-backed rhinestone centers in a swirling holder. It has a safety catch, it is signed CORO STERLING with a small etched S16, and it is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, but please note that the blue rhinestones are a little foggy - the settings are open-backed...

This sterling silver pendant has an arts and crafts feel. It features a central polished turquoise marbled with matrix that appears to be quite stable. It has an angular starburst design with a wide bail that bears a 925 mark as well as Hebrew markings. The .835 silver chain is not original to the piece, but is of the period. It is probably Austrian or Polish and measures 18 inches long unclasped. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Gross weight of pendant: 7.1 grams

This pair of early 20th-century cuff links exhibits a nice arts and crafts look, with sharp, detailed molding of a Greek key pattern around the edges. Patina is warm and the surface shows hardly any signs of wear. The back bridge bars are very secure and marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark, but they are probably American. These teardrop-shaped earrings feature purple, grey, violet and black feathers enclosed between pieces of resin or a clear composite. A cut-out zigzag design reveals the feathers through the sterling silver frame. The earrings show some tarnish; they have not been aggressively cleaned to avoid damaging the inserts. The screwbacks are in good working order; one exhibits the eagle 3 mark for Mexican sterling, the other, an unidentified geometrical maker’s mark...

Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible.
