This is a very early work from Sigi Pineda, and dates to the early 1950's when he first opened his own shop. The shop was named "Plateros", later renamed "Sigi".

It's an amazing piece, with three huge red coral branches in a modernist setting which is sterling silver with 14k gold plated over it. The gold is perfect and even throughout, both front and back. The coral measures from 2 1/4" to 2 1/16"...

A 14K yellow gold convertible ring with 6 different stones that can be changed when preferred. This size 5 ring features 6 different colours of semi-precious stones (includes black onyx, beryls, dyed mother of pearl - the pink stone looks like marble or rhodonite). Kerr Sterling guilloche lavender and white enamel pin is 2 7/8" long by 2 3/8" wide. It weighs 38.3 grams. Very heavy for a pin.

Interesting combination of magenta and purple, this set is of composition beads in various sizes and shapes. Knotted throughout, the two necklace strands measure 26 1/2" and 29". The clasp is rhinestone. Complimentary clip earrings(with beautiful Haskell style backs) measure 1 1/2" by 1" approximately.

A pretty 18Kyellow gold pin in the shape of a salamander from the reign of Emperor Napoleon III. Animal brooches were very popular in the mid-19th century, and reptiles were especially favored. The pendant has a central carnelian colored swirled cabochon. Measures 1 7/8" long to the top of the bale and 2" across. Chain is 21" long and has a spring clasp that holds securely. In nice condition with some minor scratches.

Signed Los Castillo and constructed with thick silver weighing 84 grams. The repousse is beautifully fashioned with flowing curls and beaded sides and a dark natural patina. This clamper bracelet is design 250 with the artist being Margot Van Voorhies before her divorce to Antonio Castillo. The presence is stunning with a height of 2.5 inches. Fits most with an inner diameter of 2 3/8th inches. No dents, strong spring and no repairs. One of the very best from the Spratling era.
