Monumental sterling cuff bracelet with a beautiful design of twisted silver loops and arched terminals by Mexican designer Carmen Beckmann. She is one of the few well known women Mexican silversmiths of her time, active primarily in the 60's and 70's and having a shop in San Miguel de Allende. I have seen these brooches described as unsigned Hattie Carnegie or unsigned Kenneth Jay Lane. The colors are fabulous and the detail is wonderful. An unusual color combination.

Toucans are the Brazilian symbol for the Amazon Forest where they reside. They are predators and hunters sand have astounding eye-site to see small prey through the dense leaf canopy of the jungle. The pin is 3" tall x 1 3/4" wide.

This Siam sterling fan pin measures 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". Ramasoon, the god of thunder, and Mekkala, the goddess of lightning, are featured. "C" clasp hold well. This pin is in excellent condition.

Based in San Miguel de Allende Beckmann is reported to have started her activity a little later than the big Mexico City and Taxco workshops with most of her pieces dating in the 1950s and 1960s. In the ring at hand, the generously sized faceted gem is raised above a substantial geometric shank, held in place with sterling prongs in a crown-style setting...

A Labradorite sterling silver pendant on chain necklace from the 1950s (or earlier). This 1 x 7/8" pendant features a clear and white striped Labradorite stone with underlaying blue fire and it comes with a later 18-1/8" fine link chain with a springring clasp. The (tested) pendant is unmarked and the chain is faintly stamped ST with a possible maker's mark. It weighs 4.3 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Converted from an antique Art Nouveau stickpin, this lovely ring features a round brilliant cut blue sapphire flanked by curving gold borders that form a faintly heart-shaped. This detailed brooch / pin measures 1 1/2" x 2". It features a detailed peacock with a floral accent. The back is marked STERLING, with the Uncas Manufacturing Company hallmark of a U between 2 arrows. It is in excellent condition. The Uncas Mfg. Co. began operations in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911. By the 1950s, Uncas had become the largest manufacturer of costume jewelry rings in the United States.

A particularly elegant pair of double-sided cufflinks by Larter. The round mother-of-pearl faces are centered with small natural pearls and surrounded with platinum borders decorated with laurel leaf engraving. The backs are in 14K yellow gold. The mother-of-pearl has very nice luster with pinkish and greenish overtones. These cufflinks would be especially appropriate to be worn with white-tie. The connectors are stamped with Larter's hallmark.
