This beautiful 19th century gilt silver and Bohemian garnet necklace with drops in the Victorian style is comprised of five large flowers and three suspended flowers encrusted with lovely ruby-red garnets all flanked by 28 smaller flower links set with garnets. Condition: excellent, all stones intact. Clasp has been restored. Measurement: 18 in. long.

This superb pin is by Taxco silversmith Sigi Pineda. The boomerang design is complimented by the overlay of dots on the oxidized background. It is signed "Sigi Tasco" "STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO" and numbered "60" with assay mark 3 (see pictures). It measures 2 1/2" x 1" and is in excellent condition.

This ring made by Erik Granit & Co of Finland has a sleek and modest design. The garnet is sawtooth-set. The shank is marked "E. GRANIT & Co DESIGN JEWELLRY." The other side is signed "EG" (stylized maker's mark), "925H," boat (for Helsinki), "R7" (for 1970) and "925 STERLING FINLAND." It is a size 6 and is in excellent condition.

Made by Kupittan Kulta of Finland is this pleasant, silver, leaf brooch. The long leaves are slightly concave, curving alongside a bezel-set, amethyst cabochon "bud." The brooch is signed, “anvil mark” (for Kupittaan Kulta), “crown in heart” mark (for Finland), “813H” (silver fineness), city mark for Turku and “H7” for 1961. It measures 2 5/8” tall x 5/8” at its widest point. It’s in excellent condition.

This Antonio Pineda tie bar is a wonderful example of his quality, modernist artistry. It is concave with a central bezel-set, oval amethyst cabochon. It is marked "ANTONIO TAXCO" (in crown), "970" and co-stamped with Los Castillo Cooperativo marks: "LOS CASTILLO SOC COOP SCL" in a circle with "SEC 2" inside (this Coop mark is double-struck--see pictures) and eagle mark "58." The tie bar measures 1 1/8" x 5/8" x 1/4" and is in very good condition.

Signed and numbered, this bold, modernist, suite is c. 1960’s. It is by the Danish designer Jorgen Jensen: best known for his work with pewter. The radiant, matching disks are concave and convex with a textured, sunburst design. The screwback earrings are marked, “PEWTER,” “Jorgen Jensen” (in script: his maker’s mark), “DENMARK 75 A.” They have a diameter of 7/8”...

Danish silversmith Gertrude Engel made this unique, modernist ring. Her signature is found on many Anton Michelsen pieces, along with the AM crown maker’s mark (as she designed for that firm). This ring, however, is solely signed by her (see pictures). The rounded band of heavy gauge silver is 1/2” wide. It has a cluster of 10 bezel set carnelian cabochons. It is signed “Gengel,” in script (her maker’s mark), and “925S” and is in excellent condition. It is about a size 5.

This biomorphic pin c. 1950’s is made of mixed metals: sterling silver and copper, like many of Popowski’s pieces. It has an inlay of crushed stone (azurmalachite). The pin has the top layer (described above), sitting on a layer (of just over 1/8”) of obsidian backed by a layer of sterling. This wonderful 1940's, Mexican necklace consists of decorative, linked hearts that meet to form a pendant of 3 hearts with a central cone-shaped ornament. This handsome cross pin (that also has a bail to double as a pendant) is by circa 1970. It has a geometric design of copper and onyx inlaid with sterling silver and turquoise. It has 3 layers: the top is the copper, that is skillfully cut for the inlay; the next layer is the onyx and the bottom is sterling. The back is signed “Tono” (in script, with a tilde over the “n”), “HECHO EN MEXICO” – “STERLING TAXCO 925” (in a circle around a conjoined) “AC” - “PIEDRA NEGRA” ...

This traditional, Norwegian solje pin, c. 1950’s, was made by Aksel Holmsen. It has an appealing stamped design and six dangling, concave disks. The back is signed, “NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark (2 overlapping silversmith tools--see pictures). The brooch has a C-catch and a diameter of 1”. It is in excellent condition.

This ring is quite lovely. The green enamel is perfect, depicting an abstract heart, or the head of a snake with large, green eyes (whichever suits your mood). The solid sterling silver band tapers from the pointed tip, as it wraps around. It is just under 1/2” at its widest. The inside is marked, “DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S.” The basic size is a 7, but the band is slightly adjustable. This piece has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This elegant depiction of a Wiener Dog is c. late 1940’s. The sterling silver vermeil and marcasites compliment the beautiful ropetwist, open wirework of the body. The ear is set with marcasites, as is the eye. The back is marked “ALICE CAVINESS” and “STERLING GERMANY” on applied plaques. The pin measures 2” (from snout to tail) x 1/2". This wonderful piece is in excellent condition.

Here’s a brightly colored, basse-taille enameled peacock charm: feathers fully fanned. Peacocks add to the beautiful colors of Mexico, roaming about freely. Here is a beautiful, ornate, Norwegian sterling silver and enamel bracelet. It consists of 8 butterfly-shaped, linked panels of pearly white guilloche enamel. Each panel has a lovely applied wirework decoration with beaded center. Here is an interesting modern, Finnish bracelet. It is made up of 6 slightly convex links with the ridged and textured design so characteristic of Sarpaneva. It is marked, “BRONZE FINLAND P. SARPANEVA.” It measures 7 1/4” long x 1/2” wide. The safety chain adds a nice touch. The bracelet has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This sterling vermeil and enamel necklace has a lovely design. Each convex, navette-shaped link is a very pretty, pearly white, basse-taille enamel. The necklace measures 16 1/4” long (x 1/2”), with a T-bar clasp. The T-bar is marked “STERLING DENMARK” and “VB” (for Volmar Bahner). This piece is in excellent condition.

This signed Butler & Wilson brooch was created in the 1980's. Swarovski crystals are prong set into a rhodium plated casting. The piece measures approximately 3" x 2.5" and is in excellent condition.
