Rare modernist earrings by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee, a husband and wife team who created unique jewelry in their studio from the late 1940s until the 1970s. The minimalist aesthetic sterling silver earrings are circa 1950s, and feature discs each decorated by a single silver sphere. The earrings are screw-backs, and the tops measure .75" in diameter. A beautiful sterling and turquoise bracelet by Frank Patania Sr. This is a unique design with a center medallion featuring three saw tooth bezel set turquoise. The cuff sides have texturing in the middle, topped with silver dots. Measuring 5 1/2" around in the inside with an additional 1 1/4" opening , it is 1 1/8" wide and weighs 61 grams. Dating 1930's-40's, this Fred Davis amethyst fish pin is, I believe, quite rare.

Measuring 2 3/4" x 2 1/8, with a weight of 47.6 grams, it's a very substantial piece. The amethyst stone has gorgeous grape hues, with natural inclusions and quartz marbling, measuring 1 3/8" x 1 1/8". The eye is a turquoise cabochon.

A fine pair of vintage 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the "stirrup" style popularized by Cartier in the late 1940s. The cufflinks are constructed from a solid bar, finished at each end with interlocking arches. By pulling on the ends, the arches can be unfolded for each in putting the cufflinks through the cuff holes. Then, a simple flip up causes the arches to hold the fabric tightly together. These late arts and crafts sterling silver earrings are handwrought and formed as oak leaves with a ‘berry’ at the base. They were made by Albino Manca (1896-1976), an Italian sculptor and metalsmith who lived and worked in both Italy and New York. (There is a statue by him in New York’s Battery Park).
