This pin was orginally designed by Mexico artist Frederick Davis in the 1930's. This piece is signed MEXICO SILVER but without the FD mark. A retail shop in Taxco, according to Bille Hougart, Plateria Cortes is a name also found on some of Enrique Ledesma pieces, most probably because they were sold there. Very sculptural, it has architectural borders and is cut on both sides as though taken from a larger sculpture. It is signed "800 with a maker's mark" and is in excellent condition. This great, petite engagement ring is another one of our lower priced value items. The approximately 0.27 Ct brilliant cut diamond has I color and SI1 clarity as graded by our in-house gemologist, but it is not certified by GIA or EGL. An attractive pair of simple Art Deco double-sided cufflinks, each face formed from a round cabochon amber simply set in a 14K yellow gold collet. The amber has superb clarity and appears to be foiled underneath to enrich the color to a strong yellowish-orange and to create a stronger reflection. The result would look good with a blue suit, but even better with khaki or brown. The backs are signed for Sansbury & Nellis and are marked “14K.”

A very nice pair of double-sided 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces featuring discs of mother-of-pearl surrounded by opaque white enameled borders and centered with small pearls set in platinum. Enrique Ledesma high sheen Mexican silver work of art weighing 50 grams and having a height of 7/8th of an inch. My pictures truly can not capture the beauty of this bracelet. In my hands the obsidian is BLAZING and I could not get one photo of it. There are reflections in the pictures, no loss or damage. An excellent example of Ledesma workmanship at a time before lazers were used to cut the jewelers stones.

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch has a thick sterling wire overlay with an oval moonstone cabochon on a darkened, oxidized surface. Measures 1 1/4" tall and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the oxidized and shiny sterling layers. A delicate Edwardian 14K yellow gold bangle bracelet set with square cut amethysts and pearls.
