Elaborately carved mother-of-pearl disks set in 14-kt yellow gold backs and embossed platinum rims, from the 1920s. Small pearls grace the centers of each disk. The gold bridge bars are securely attached to the connector; the back of each disk bears the maker’s mark of Carter, Gough & Co., of Newark, NJ. Each measures ½ inch in diameter.

A handsome late Victorian stick pin featuring a reverse-carved crystal depicting a bulldog.
