Natural Bohemian garnets are featured in this antique pin. Two round elements are made up of three tiers of rich red rose-cut garnets. Each garnet circle is surrounded by a row of tiny rose-cut garnets. Suspended from these elements are three droppers featuring more garnets, round and marquise in shape. Fit for a museum, this rare and wonderful Egyptian Revival pin has a portrait painted on porcelain. It is mounted in 800 silver and surrounded by 16 coral beads on wire. There have been some repairs [not visible from the front] as is so common in jewelry repaired in the 19th century. 1 1/4" diameter. Circa 1875.

This bold bracelet, probably American, has a modern sensibility that belies its ca. 1890 origins. It is composed of a polished hollow sterling silver curb chain with a sterling heart-shaped padlock closure. This padlock has no key but can be opened simply by a gentle tug on the lever mechanism and a gentle push to close. The chain has no marks (though tests for sterling); the top of the padlock indicates sterling, which suggests an American origin...

This lovely sterling silver pin is a classic example of the Japanisme influence popular during the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century. It features embossed images of a dragonfly and two delicate plants as well as tiny marks emulating Asian characters, all on an irregular-shaped disk. Made by George W. Shiebler of New York City, the molding is sharp and detailed; it does appear to have a secure rollover clasp that would have replaced the original C-clasp...

Large Ottoman part belt buckle half, 19th century. Classic Paisley (teardrop) shape. Repoussé and engraved decoration of an eagle surrounded by flowers. It has a fine safety chain anchored to a loop and it measures 2-3/8 x 1-7/8" across the interior and 5/16" wide. A Victorian engraved silver dome pin brooch with a purple glass stone. This late 19th century 1-5/8 x 1-1/8" pin features a bezel-set purple glass stone and it has ornate hand-engraving. It is unsigned but it tests as high grade silver and it is most likely Scandinavian. A very delicate and colorful bracelet, featuring gilded silver filigreed panels enhanced with blue and green enamel. The enamel is in lovely condition, with only tiny areas of loss. The tongue-and-groove clasp is very secure and shows some wear due to use (the clasp is silverplated). There is also a gold-filled safety chain not original to the bracelet. The tongue is marked 800 for silver content, and the Italian silver registry mark indicates either CE for Caserta or GE for Genoa and a date ran...

Lovely fluted silver earrings gilded with gold. They date to the Victorian Era and are in excellent condition. They measure approximately 1.75" long and at their widest are 0.5". The drops are hollow making for easy wear. They are unmarked but have tested as silver with a gold gilding. The overall weight of the pair is 7.6 grams.

Each of these five late 19th-century heart charms is decorated with embossed scrolls; included is also an engraved faux lock of the same period. The hearts are identical, with one showing minor impacts; the lock looks to be hardly worn. All have their bails intact and are marked sterling on the back. Each heart measures 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch long, including the bail; the locket measures just under ½ inch wide by 5/8 inch long. Weight: 4.8 grams total
