Vintage oil on canvas impressionist landscape with rounded low mountains, a country road passing red barns, 25" by 30" (29 1/2" by 34 1/2" framed), signed at lower right corner with what appears as "D Tutis" or "D Totis" or similar. Although the work resembles that of Vermont painter Earl A. Titus (1895-1962), the signature does not correspond with how he signed. So we have a mystery work here...

CHRISTO (1935-2020) in close collaboration with his late wife JEANNE-CLAUDE (1935-2009) is considered one of the most important "installation" artists of modern times. Born in Bulgaria, he was in Europe in 1957 and became an American citizen in 1973. Around the early 1970's he came to world attention with a fresh approach to art---creating new ways of seeing the familiar landscape. His projects, then (and still) controversial and thought to be outrageous, were ambitious and unprecedented...

A charming pastel portrait by Dorothy Colles which was commisioned for a "Trufood" advertizing poster. Dorothy Colles (1917-2003) was, according to an obituary in the Independent newspaper,"gifted in portraits of children". She has exhibited through the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Portrait Painting. There is a water 'splash' above the head of the boy which we have not attempted to restore. Otherwise excellent condition. The picture 19.5 inches by 17.3 inches (49.5cm by 44cm)

Oil on board, likely Canadian painting of a curling scene on a large ice rink with a large number of spectators and players, painted very competently in a very charming folk-art style, signed at lower right "S. S. Heath" and dated there 1973. The work reminds a bit of the whimsical folky Canadian paintings of Allen Sapp or William Kurelek. Suprisingly, I see absolutely no information or auction record for any artist of this name. The work measures 16" by 20" and 20" by 24" as framed...

An impressive, good sized (inside the mat measurements 28 3/4" by 21 1/4", and 35 1/4" by 27 1/4" as framed in silvery metal behind Plexi) lithograph of images of fractured/destroyed/recomposed violins, a recurring theme in the popular imagery and sculpture work by the French-born contemporary artist ARMAN (1928-2005)...

Portuguese explorers arrived in the early 1600s, and French missionaries landed near the Gold Coast (Ghana) border in 1637. European contact was limited until the 19th century, mainly due to inhospitable geography along the coastline...

A fine sterling silver sculpture of a Yatch in full sail featuring gold inlay bands on the sail. Titled "Yacth" by Japanese master artist Seki Takehiko, it is in excellent condition the sculpture measures 5.5" high. The complete presentation including the glass case measures 9" long x 6" deep x 9.5" high.

A fine watercolor folksy miniature portrait painting. The sitter is a nice looking young gentleman dressed in a black coat, patterned white vest, white shirt with stud, and a black stock tie. Housed in its original red leather travel case.

Excellent condition, with no cracks, bowing, or other problems. The sight size is 2 5/8" by 2".
