A pencil signed print from near the end of his long and productive life, by the noted American caricaturist, ALBERT (AL) HIRSCHFELD (1903-2003). This could well refer to the year 1817 as the work has sufficient age. On the reverse is written in pencil "Germany $3.75"...

Oil on canvas, 36" by 24" (45" by 33" as framed in wood), the subject a wicker chair draped with lacy cloth, a painting in the background and tea pot at right, signed with what appears as "Egeun" at lower right and dated 82. A Greek-speaker emailed me to inform me that the signed name is, in Greek, "Eleni" (Greek for "Helen"). This is a bright, contemporary painting in really excellent, fine wall-ready condition.

Vertical format colorful oil painting of a mounted cowboy making his way through a steep canyon in the Southwest or Rockies as the afternoon's last sun reddens a crag at right, a dramatic cloud beyond the "V" shaped notch topping an expansive and empty land beyond. The painting, measuring " by ", unframed, has some age but I doubt it would have been painted earlier than about the mid 1950's, judging from the stretcher and stapled canvas...

PAIR of oil on gray art board panels, each 14" by 4 3/4", 20" by 10 1/2" as framed, unsigned, the subject of each a picturesque old castle perched on a prominent mountain outcrop, in each view, a bridge with tiny figures crossing a torrent in the foreground. These could be a "before and after" scene of the same view, as one bridge is of stone and obviously more substantial than the other, which is of wood...

This etching won the "John G. Agar Prize, Fifth Annual Exhibition by Living American Etchers, National Arts Club, New York, N.Y." in 1927.

Oil on canvas painting of California mountains, a line of back lit trees in the middle ground, 18" by 23 1/2" (26 1/2" by 33" in vintage frame), signed at lower right by well listed California and western artist JOE WAANO-GANO (1906-1982).
