This pastoral scene depicts sheep in a mountainous area, causing me to believe that it may be European in origin. The artist has captured 6 sheep peacefully grazing on grass, with no shepherd seen. The serenity is enhanced by the calming green of the grass and the blues of the sky and distant mountain. The linen on canvas is mounted on board, and framed under glass in what I believe is a refurbished frame which is generally in excellent condition...

Large round ceramic wall sculpture by artist, Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). Wheel thrown with tears, incisions and imbedded chunks of material. The back has drips of blue glaze and is signed by Voulkos.
