This is a rare ten panel "전서 [篆書)" screen written by 해관(海觀), 유한익(劉漢翼) with gold(?) and light red on cloth, each panel shows a number of antique objects, and seal impressions, all bearing seal script(전서 [篆書] inscriptions. 유한익-劉漢翼) has used 19th century conventions to produce a distinctly archaic version...

Robert William Vonnoh, American, 1858-1933. This oil on canvas is signed and dated upper right "Vonnoh 1906". The painting is in excellent condition with one small repair about 1" long. George Loring Brown, Malden, Massachusetts, 1814-1889. This expensive landscape is a view of Sorrento including Mount Vesuvius in the background. This oil on canvas is 12" x 20" in a 3" 19th century frame. It is signed and titled verso very clearly and it is in very good condition with appropriate craqueleur. The edges have been reinforced but are still original. He lived in the U.S. and Europe and his more sought after paintings are those of southern Italy...

Haku Maki was a Japanese print master of the late 20th century. His prints at the time this one was published were strong on the use of kanji and abstract designs, as shown here. In this case; the design is abstract, it shows archaic images which we are trying to understand. The print is large, well designed and carried off.
