A vintage woodcut print in black with touches of yellow and red in the windows of the picturesque seaside structures, unsigned, titled in the image "NOEL", white speckles (sprayed?) indicating snowflakes, 12 1/2" by 9 1/2" framed. The scene resembles Maine villages such as Port Clyde or Castine. Likely a work from that region, circa 1940's, possibly 1930's. I opened up the backing and found no further information.

One of a number of fine Bermuda watercolors in my shop, this is a work featuring white-roofed houses on the water, several small boats visible at left, and yucca at right. The work measures 6 1/4" by 13 3/4" and 16" by 23 1/2" including old gilded oak frame and gold mat typical of the period. The artist signed at lower left "A. T. Smith" and wrote "Bermuda '95" at lower right. I do not see information on an artist by this name. Nineteenth century Bermuda views are scarce and desirable...

Something of a mystery piece, this unsigned mixed media drawing in gouache, watercolor, pencil and ink rather resembles the stage design work of the noted artist Eugene Berman (1899-1972). Measuring 14" by 19 1/2", unframed, the drawing is on paper laid down on another sheet of paper. It has traveled without framing so has become dog eared and acquired a number of other flaws including a heavy crease at upper left and other issues within the imagery...

A PAIR of oil on canvas paintings of a younger man, each 33" by 24 3/4", unsigned, circa late 20th century. A twentieth century pastel on paper drawing of white and yellow flowers in a white vase, signed at lower right with what appears as "Raymond" or similar. The work measures 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" inside the present brown mat (16 1/2" by 12 1/2" framed). Found in Los Angeles, the work is on English paper---I suppose it could be English. The hand that created this was talented and it is a lovely little still life.
