By the noted Northwest artist Elton Bennett (1910-1974), a circa early 1970's serigraph print, "Hurrying Feet", featuring sandpipers on the shore, a coastal forest in the background, a luminous light typical of the artist's works filtering over it all. Thinned oil or possibly water-based casein/tempera on small board painting, 7 1/4" by 5 1/4" framed, signed at lower right by noted American artist Carol Jablonsky (1939-1992). An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicts the most central event in Christianity, the Nativity of our Lord Christ.

The icon is finely hand-painted in bright colors and gold on gesso on a wood panel. It depicts Baby Jesus laying in the cradle in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes, with a Bethlehem star shining from above, flanked by the Virgin Mary and St Joseph.
