MEDIA: Chinese oil painting TITLE: New Year SIZE: 32 inches x 39 inches ARTIST: Zhang Shuang-Zhu was born in 1964 in Beijing. Now a professional artist, he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Crafts in 1994. He participates in the annual Chinese Oil Painting Essence Exhibition and has held exhibitions in Hong Kong and Taiwan. His paintings have been acquired by collectors from Europe, America, Macau, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Acquired as one of a number of works by late Bozeman, Montana artist MARION "MAL" LEWIS (1925-2010), this is a crayon drawing of a landscape with trees and a small body of water, 8" by 11", (loosely attached to a white mat), likely dating to late in the artist's life. While traveling through Montana I came upon a group of mostly collage, abstract works by this artist, though there is at least one non-abstract work, a New Mexico drawing, that I have listed...

A highly decorative late 20th century painting after the Dutch 17th through 19th century classic winter landscapes, 33" by 36 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right by artist W. Reynolds. The work is clean and in very nice condition overall. Watercolor and ink drawing of the iconic world-class sight, the Parthenon atop the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. The work is signed in red in Greek at lower right and there is an inscription in Greek handwriting on the reverse. Measurements inside the deep blue mat are 10 1/2" by 7 3/4" (16 1/2" by 13" in simple undistinguished strip frame). The artist has captured with considerable skill a sight that will never be forgotten by anyone who has seen it.
