Watercolor on paper, 12 1/2" by 18 1/4" inside the present mat, 19 1/2" by 26" as framed, signed "TOWNLEY" at lower right corner and dated there "Oct. 68". I do not see a listing that would match up with this name but the artist was obviously a talented individual. This appears to be a mountain landscape in one of the western states. The trees and the animals are beautifully executed, and there is a superb little ink drawing of a fox near the signature...

This appears to me to be a work by the noted long-time citizen of Santa Cruz, MABEL LEMOS, the wife of painter William Lemos and mother of artist Sydney Lemos...

A colorful original work, NOT A PRINT, the subject a complete delicious fantasy, of mermaids and fish, , signed at lower left margin in pencil by noted California contemporary artist SALLY HUSS (1940-). The work, 19" by 28 3/4" as framed, is typical of the artist's output----always colorful in the extreme, and whimsical, the subjects landscape, florals, or fantasy. On the reverse, the artist has inscribed "Merry Christmas To Bridget and Katie", and then also signed her name again...

Oil on canvas of a mysterious red cabbage on a string and an orange gourd on a tiled surface, windows beyond looking out onto a hilly landscape, 16" by 20" (23 1/2" by 27" signed "Hernandez" and dated 1995 at lower right. The painting should probably be reframed, as the cream liner is soiled. The painting has some yellowed varnish but otherwise is in good condition.

Felix Bracquemond, French, 1833-1914, "Canards Surpris", etching, plate measures 13 3/4 x 10 3/8 inches in a gold colored 21 x 17 inch frame. Drypoint etching. Catalog: Beraldi 778. C. 1882. A very detailed etching with meticulous linework and a unique composition. Initialed in ink in the lower left, pencil signed in the lower right.

Gouache painting of a gingerbread, Victorian house in Georgetown, Colorado, 12 1/2" by 10", 20 3/4" by 16 1/4" framed. The painting is signed at lower left "M H Brown" and dated there 57 or 59, and the word "Georgetown" identifies the setting. A modern framer's sticker on the backing from Georgetown, Colorado confirms the locale. Georgetown is an historic town filled with examples of Victorian architecture from the boom days of the 19th century in that part of the country...
