**ONE OF SEVERAL WORKS BY THIS ARTIST IN MY SHOP**Oil on canvas laid on board painting of colorful, flowering shrubs and bushes alongside the Pacific shore, 8 3/8" by 11" (11 3/4" by 14 3/4" in very attractive vintage pie crust style frame), signed at lower right center by the well listed California painter WILLIAM CONSTABLE ADAM (1846-1931). This is a typical work of an artist who is today best known for his depictions of the landscapes, gardens, and houses of the Monterey Peninsula area...

Arthur J.T. Briscoe 1873-1943 British This is a fine original etching by British marine artist Arthur Briscoe. The title is: The Main Brace, created and printed in 1929. The image measures 13 11/16X9 15/16 inches, printed on an antique wove type sheet. It is hand signed with pen and ink and also numbered 39/75. " This view of men hauling in on the brace while at the same time keeping their balance in the heeling ship as a spray sweeps over the weather rail."

Watercolor painting of roses in a pitcher, candlesticks and furniture completing the arrangement, an interesting patterned light from the window panes streaming in at an angle, signed at lower right by contemporary artist "T. Williams" and dated 1998. The work measures 20 1/4" by 27" (31" by 38" in wood framing). This is extremely clean and fresh and ready for display. I do not have a handle at this time on the identity of the artist, but the work was purchased in San Diego.

Original pencil figural drawing, 15" by 9" plus a gray mat, unframed, signed at lower right "K. Delaney" and dated there 1979. I do not know who the artist might have been but he or she certainly had a talent as a draftsperson. The condition is generally good save for modest paper browning and there is tape residue on the reverse from clumsy attachment to the mat. Fit a frame on this and you'll have a pleasant, nicely executed drawing.

Etching or aquatint in colors, 18 1/2" by 23" (28" by 31 1/2" as framed), titled at lower left margin "Les Vieux (???)" and signed at lower right margin by the noted French artist PAUL EMAIL LECOMTE (1877-1950). Lecomte was born to an artist father and an art-nourishing environment. After attending the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and study under Fernande Cormon, he went to work for the government...

This work by Levier is a fabulous watercolor original painting measuring 31 x 23“ and it’s from the 1960s at the height of his career Bio: Charles Levier (1920-2003) was born in Corsica to a French father and an American mother. At 17 he attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. During World War II Levier served in the French Army in North Africa, later becoming Liaison Officer with the U.S. Office of Strategic Services...

This work needs some TLC, due to a large rip, unstable and missing paint, and grime......a vintage late 19th century/early 20th century work on canvas, 18" by 30", unframed, apparently unsigned, the subject one of the volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest. The painting should be saved for posterity, but for that to happen, it will require relining, cleaning and inpainting by a professional restorer. If you are a restorer yourself, this would be an ideal acquisition.

The title is "Daphne and Apollo", the imagery consisting of idealized male and female figures with leafy trees in the background, creating a most interesting and modern composition that looks almost like a "solarized" photo...
