Watercolor with touches of gouache painting, on heavy grade watercolor paper, the subject a small ranch on a coastline, 18" by 29" (26" by 39" framed), unsigned, the subject I feel possibly in Hawaii or Australia, given the scenery and the obvious tropical touch (the plantation-shutters and banana trees, and the detail of the front of the structure). Unfortunately I have not been able to locate a signature anywhere...

A large watercolor painting, apparently unsigned, 20 1/2" by 28 1/2" (52 cm. by 72 cm.) and 27 1/2" by 36" framed. The antique work has been laid on a thin card, earlier in the 20th century, so if there was information on the recto it is hidden. The fascinating scene contains at least 20 figures going about their business, two horses, numerous boats, and windmills in the distance, and carefully rendered architectural facades.
