Large contemporary Haitian painting with an enormous amount of detail and pleasing color, 31 1/2" by 23 1/2" (37 1/2" by 29" in shiny black plastic framing), signed at lower right by artist Felden Lafleur. Take some time to study the images, filled with amazing intricacies that must have taken days to create. The work is in excellent, unusually fresh condition; frame has some wear.
Watercolor on paper of wildflowers in a ceramic vessel, and what appear to be cherries in the foreground, 19 3/4" by 15 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right with a signature that looks like "M. Bals-Werthmann" or similar, and dated there 1944. I don't see a listing for that name or variants I have tried. The artist, working during the darkest days of World War II, must have been wanting to try to bring a little brightness to grim times...

This a modern image was published in 1969. The artist is a major figure in late 20th century art's CoBrA movement, counted as one of the founders of it in 1949...

This silkscreen offering is said by some to depict Kabuki make-up. It is 8sq inches and in excellent condition. See picture 4, the title, where Maki seems to have written Kuma 92/--his numeral 1 was usually a straightforward vertical 1.

A refined old drawing titled "Caterskill Clove" dated Oct. 7, 1859, the subject a famed rocky gorge in the eastern part of the Catskill mountains of New York State (google "Catskill Clove" for full information on this renowned scenic area). The work is apparently unsigned. There are any number of listed artists of the Hudson River School who could have created the drawing; Sanford Robinson Gifford, William Hart, Asher Durand and many others of note painted in the area...
