This is an attractive and elegant poster, issued in 1954 for an exhibition of the works of the ultra famous and important Swiss sculptor, painter and printmaker, ALBERTO GIACOMETTI (1901-1966). Measuring 29" by 20 1/2", it is simply framed in modern metal with glass and no mat. The edition size of this particular poster, titled "Rue d'Alesia", is unknown. This c.1925 etching by William Meyerowitz measures 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches, plate and pencil signed, framed. Meyerowitz studied at the National Academy of Design in NY and is best known for his development of producing etchings in color. Beer Wagon etching by Harry Lewis Bailey. 8 x 12“. Frame Size 15x19". Harry Lewis Bailey was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1879. He studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts. He was an etcher who relocated to California where he was an illustrator and etcher. He became a member of the California Arts Club, the California Society of Etchers and the Printmakers Society.

The image on the left was done in 1970 the other in 1971. The image at the left looks like 2 or 3 quick brush strokes. It is very delicate. It can mean clothing. The image at the right is heavy, many brush strokes, a complicated kanji. It can mean depression. It is Poem 71-14.
