Ashcan School Charcoal Signed Weeks, dedicated to John Phelps Pette. 18 x 16", 26 x 23" Weeks was born in New Jersey in the early 20th century and attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

The work is printed to the edges with no margin, and there is text on reverse, as shown. There is a soft center crease as issued with 1/4"-1/2" short tears along that pronounced crease at the very bottom and top due to the weakness from having been repeatedly folded...

A watercolor miniature portrait done by Richard Morrell Staigg. The sitter is a nice-looking blue-eyed young man in a black coat and cravat, with a light blue vest. As is usual with Staigg, the painting is superbly limned. It is housed in one half of a leather case.

The condition is excellent, with no problems whatsoever. Sight size is 3 1/2" by 3".
