A color poster "Fragments", 1985, hand signed in marker at bottom by the noted California sculptor of human figures, ROBERT GRAHAM (1938-2008). The piece measuring 38 1/2" by 20 1/2" is very clean and fresh. Graham was born in Mexico City where as a youngster he was exposed to the great mural art of Mexico. By the early 1950's he was in California, studying in the 1960's in the San Francisco Bay area...

Work 73-12A is a firm and strong dragon not fierce not wimpy. The central kanji is offset by a small yellow Maki sun at the top left and a red splash on the right. They counterbalance each other and give color and verve to the whole print.

French Artist Constant Louche 1880-1965, known for depicting a North African scenes, this work is possibly Morocco, oil on canvas measuring 26” x 57”, framed in a custom frame carved with Arabic script. Born in Algiers, it was in this city that he began his studies, then in Paris, at the École des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited in Algiers from 1907. He is one of the best representatives of landscape painters from Algeria...

A fine portrait miniature of a handsome gentleman painted on natural wafer by Henry Inman. The sitter is wearing a black jacket and stock, and a white waistcoat, shirt, and collar. Displayed in a cast foliate case with the reverse having a glazed aperture with a cast foliate surround and containing a lock of hair.

The painting is in excellent condition with no issues to note. The case is also in fine fettle, although the reverse could use a bit of cleaning...

A vintage oil on canvas painting of a river canyon of the west or Southwest, circa 1950's, good-sized at 24" by 32" (32" by 40" in the likely original old charming frame), signed at lower right by artist Charles Crowder. I do not see a "listed" artist name that would correspond. The work much resembles that of California impressionist landscape artist James Merriam (1880-1951). Condition is excellent.

For the collector of botanical drawings and art, a nice unframed 11 7/8" by 9 3/8" floral watercolor drawing highlighted with a little gum arabic in the nineteenth century tradition. It is not signed, but I think at lower left in old faint pencil it says "yellow aralia", and at bottom, very faint and barely visible, there is a lot of illegible pencil writing. This likely dates to the 1860's to 1880's period...

Oil on canvas scene of two white swans in a small lake or pond in a rural area, 24" by 16" (29" by 21" in wide newer frame), signed in red "W W Caffyn" at lower right and dated there "96". This is a work by the noted British artist WALTER WALLOR CAFFYN (1845-1898), who exhibited at the Royal Academy. His paintings tend to be rural scenes of Sussex, Kent and Yorkshire. Caffyn's (mostly large) major works have exceeded $20,000 at auction in London...

A nice English c1795 miniature of a gent wearing a white shirt and ascot, with a red waistcoat and black jacket. The reverse of the gilded metal case has a a central fabric section set into an opalescent surround over guilloche work. Excellent condition with an overall size of 2 5/8" by 2 1/8".

A beautifully painted impressionist view of the charming Filipino countryside, " by ", unframed, signed at lower right "T. I. SANCHEZ Manila", and dated there 1963. The unframed oil on canvas is in excellent overall condition. I note a slight dimple/depression at left which is visible when viewed in raking light (see photo). A light cleaning would be beneficial. Sanchez does not appear to be a listed artist but was certainly a talent, in the tradition of the great Fernando Amorsolo...

Oil on canvas good-sized painting, 21" by 29", (29" by 36 1/2" in gold frame), the subject a small lake or pond with adjacent floral bloom, almost as in a botanical garden or groomed park, that bloom reflected beautifully in the water, signed at lower left by the late California artist KASANDRA F. MARTELL (1925-2019). Martell was born near Mexico City and by the late 1950's was very entrepreneurial for a woman of her day with four children...
